This is a great thread guys - kudos to the creator of the thread for keeping this list. Does anyone know the best way to get in touch with the hosts of these podcasts? I'm looking to see if people would like to have a NY Cosmos or NASL segment on their shows. I think this league is extremely over-looked even though its up and coming and is expanding as well. Plus the Cosmos are also a team that is overlooked that in my opinion will be making some noise in the near future. Would love to get on these podcasts and talk these topics. Naw, that guy's a bastard. One of these days when I most definitely have something else I really ought to be doing, I'll update this thread for the upcoming season. (Well, actually, I'll post a new thread entirely.) I'm definitely open to listing lower league podcasts on here. I do know that Off The Bench covers some lower leagues at least to a certain extent. A general interest "This Week in The Lower Divisions of American Soccer" podcast would be interesting, but I don't think it exists (yet). And that wouldn't be a good show title.

ETR used to be the Podcast Of Record for MLS. (Or maybe the Pravda Of MLS.) At any rate, that show is now a shell of its former self. Borg, of course, can be entertaining in a predictably provocative kind of way but I shouldn't routinely know more about the subject matter than the other dudes. And if I really wanted to know more about their rec league, I'd go watch it myself. Other than that, it's become a discussion of what other people have said on Twitter, the CB Radio of the 2010's, or predictable non-offensive interviews with predictable non-offensive players and coaches. It's hard to believe how deep into Lake Boredome they've fallen. Anyway that's a long way of saying, update this list and tell me which general, league-wide MLS podcast I should listen to, now that I've freed myself from the shackles of ETR. Ideally it would be a weekly or bi-weekly affair with more news and analysis, fewer interviews, 45 minutes or less.
While I think this might be a little strong, I generally agree. More often than not I have to talk myself into listening to an episode, and often cringe through a number of their "wacky" interview questions, feeling embarrassed for the person who took the time to be on their show.
Soccer Morning is, no doubt, the "Podcast of Record" for the US soccer scene. But it's an hour 5 days a week. Canada has a really great once a week podcast of record in Two Solitudes. For the US side, there's nothing quite comparable -- or at least nothing that I listen to regularly. I can recommend plenty of great, highly entertaining podcasts, but once a weekers that do for the US what Two Solitudes does for Canada ... that's actually a tough one. I'm looking at the up to date list I have in my RSS reader, and I can't come up with a good suggestion. -- As for an update ... I've been thinking I'd like to crowdsource this. Maybe one day this winter when I'm snowed in, I'll set something up. That's a good snowed in (or sick day) kind of project.
worldsoccertalk is having a their first annual MLS awards that you can vote on. Including best podcast and best club podcast. I question some of the choices, so many good podcasts are not listed. Help some of the good podcasts get recognition. Nah, call it "The Rest of the Pyramid" and be done with it. NASL, USL, PDL, NPSL, and maybe the women's leagues as well. A weekly focus on a single team from one of the leagues, past or present, could be a nice time filler along with basic league news.
