http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/15/south-korean-ferry-sink_n_5156706.html Was the captain's name Sin Kin? I know, I know...
It was the same intern who got blamed for punking that newscaseter with the names of the Chinese flight crew on the plane that crashed a while back: Sum Ting Wong, Wi Too Low, Hoo Li Fuk, etc.
A Captain never goes down with the ship...in fact, let's make sure he is the first one who leaves: http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/18/world/asia/south-korea-ship-sinking/index.html
too many similarities between the two. Turns way too tight for a ship of their size (and no warning from the ship computers to try to stop you?) Directions given to passengers to stay where they are instead of try to get off the ship Just enough of the lifeboats released to enable the captain to escape, most boats go down with the ship Cap't runs and hides and is pretty much the first off the ship; blames others immediately "Luckily", the Concordia came to rest on more solid ground and many of the passengers actually had time to escape, despite the orders that would have left them inside to drown. The instant communication for passengers to return to their cabins in both cases is the most troubling and I think points to a much bigger problem. Or it's just a complete coincidence and neither were "normal protocol". I have my doubts.
