I've taken one cruise in my life. I distinctly remember that on that cruise, the first damn thing that we did was to have a drill on where the lifeboats were and how to evacuate in case of emergency. Apparently they didn't do that on this particular cruise at all.

 

Apparently Captain Courageous was so efficient he was able to sink the boat before the mandatory muster drill.

 

Why would you need a drill? All you have to do is tilt the ship 60-70 degrees, and hey presto you automatically land in a lifeboat.

 

For one half the ship.

They were shown video clips tonight in which the ship's crew were trying to tell passengers to go back to their cabins, even after the ship has taken on a serious list.

I was just on a cruise on the Med in August. The scenery on the ship was well worth any possible mishaps

Nothing beats a summer cruise on a ship full of Europeans.

 

Our boat left out of Barcelona and was in the middle of the European holiday season. Many women wearing only a thong in the adult pool area. Lots of kids wearing nothing at all in the kids pool area. Lots of men in speedos everywhere. Take the good with the bad

The hairy women stereotype was put to rest as being false, at least on our boat.

We were swimming off the coast of Majorca in chest deep water when my wife told me to turn around and face the shore. There were 10 20-something women walking down the beach, all topless.

Gotta love Europe in the summer!
