we play him all over the pitch but jones is really only a cb for me. i don't like him wide and i don't like him in midfield. if everyone is healthy, he is at best our 4th cb behind vidic, rio and evans. i think i'd even like smalling before him.

I think this will work best without switching things around too much.

In fact, I'd maybe even switch Welbeck with Rooney.

Kagawa is best when he's in the center and has that free role. He depends on those around him moving and interchanging. I think Rooney and Welbeck have great movement. I think Valencia might be a better option. Blaszczykowski for instance was a very wide-centric player who did a lot more work behind him than a Nani-type player, without sacrificing the need to drive forward and cut in. I think this kind of restraint would suit Kagawa more than someone of Nani's ilk whose game is more about opportunism and individuality.

About 50% of the time Ive watched him, when he gets subbed out, it looks tactical.

i think fergie believes he's finally found his new paul scholes. i don't know if that will work but i'm certain that he will try. fergie likes his wingers. fergie likes his 2-man midfield. in short, forgie likes his 442.

    Tactical.

But on a sidenote, don't take whatever this site writes too seriously. Most of the time they are completely uninformed about the very league they're covering.

    Cheers, benni too.

Didn't really read the article anyway. Skipped to the stats after the first couple of sentences.

Very excited about Kawaga, much needed midfield upgrade. I also think that Kawaga is going to make it so Rooney doesn't have to drop deep to help the midfield advance the ball, this should make Rooney's scoring tally increase. Now that we've replaced Scholes, now lets replace Carrick and then we will be set.

He plays further ahead like in Rooney's role, we need someone to partner Carrick not replace him.

I am guessing none of you read the interview with Rene from last week.

Kagawa will play as a #10

So a Nani-Kagawa-Valencia behind a Rooney or a Welbeck, with either of those 2 being able t0 drop back into the 3. Interesting.

Carrick is garbage, he has his good games but overall he isn't good enough to play for us. Everybody complains about Evra as our worst starter, I have more problems with Carrick.

I read it, but I still dont buy it yet.

Granted we've made the Academy and reserve teams play similar set ups lately, I just dont see it.

Rene has also said a lot of stuff before.

Also, with the traits he mentioned regarding Kagawa, doesnt mean he wont play on the wing.
