Hopefully we'll go on a good run and this thread can go silent, but while we're near the relegation zone, I thought I'd start a thread to discuss all results relevant to QPR's fight to stay in the Premier League.

[R] in this thread for any Barclays Premier League game.

Good news today beyond some nice additions to the squad -- Wolves (0-3 vs. Liverpool) and Wigan (1-3 at Spurs) both lost today. We travel to Villa tomorrow. Let's hope for a point.

West Brom sits 7 points clear of the relegation zone, so it's really just five of us in close competition for the three relegation spots at the moment.

    Table as it stands now:

    16 QPR 22 -15 20
    17 Bolton 22 -19 19
    ------
    18 Blackburn 22 -12 18
    19 Wolves 22 -15 18
    20 Wigan 22 -26 15

Wow. Hulse with the start; Ephraim and Balanta (!) on the bench. I guess our rosters unlimited for the moment. When do we have to go back to a set roster?

Tomorrow - 5pm UK. Gave some leeway with all clubs playing in midweek.

I couldn't stay away from the online results, but I'm heading home to watch our game now.

Big point away at Villa for the R's. Yes, we had a 2-0 lead, but when the shots on goal are 15-3 against you (and possession is 70-30 in favor of the opponents), you'll take a point!

Hulse was subbed off for Smith about 10 minutes into the second half. Ephraim played the final 20 minutes or so after entering for Derry.

The table I listed yesterday didn't include Tuesday's results for Wigan and Wolves.

    Table as it stands now:

    16 QPR 23 -15 21
    17 Bolton 22 -19 19
    ------
    18 Blackburn 22 -12 18
    19 Wolves 23 -18 18
    20 Wigan 23 -28 15

Bolton is 0-0 at home against Arsenal now with about 5 minutes to go. Blackburn is losing 0-1 at home against Newcastle. If those two results stand, we'll be 3 points above the relegation zone while Bolton will be 2 points above.

Villa could have won 6-2. Yeah, I'll take the point too!

Need more new blood in the team (Diakite) and that new blood needs to mesh with the rest of the players.

Bolton held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw. Blackburn gave up a goal in stoppage time, so lost 0-2 to Newcastle.

    Table as it stands now:

    16 QPR 23 -15 21
    17 Bolton 23 -19 20
    ------
    18 Blackburn 23 -14 18
    19 Wolves 23 -18 18
    20 Wigan 23 -28 15

Zamora should be a step up from Hulse, too. :)

Huge games coming up for us -- Wolves at home this Saturday, Blackburn away the next. Fulham (H) and Everton (H) after that. Need some points during this stretch -- a point away at Villa is a good start.

    17 QPR 32 -21 28
    ------
    18 Blackburn 32 -24 28
    19 Wigan 32 -27 28
    20 Wolves 32 -36 22

Bolton is playing at Newcastle now (0-0 early in the second half, as I type). Blackburn hosts Liverpool tomorrow. On Wednesday, Wigan hosts Man U, Wolves host Arsenal, and we host Swansea.

3 points for the R's on Wednesday are very necessary.

Goals by Newcastle in the 73rd and 83rd minutes help our cause. It has now reached full time -- Newcastle 2, Bolton 0.

    18 Blackburn 32 -24 28

The Swansea game is key. A win and we distance ourselves from the others. Only a little I know but will send a message out. Just need Liverpool to turn up tonight v Blackburn.

With Liverpool a man down and the score with Blackburn level at 2, Marc Bircham tweeted "I'm telling you Andy Carroll is gonna come good for me and QPR and score the winner #comeonandy".

A minute into stoppage time, Carroll scored the winner for Liverpool.

A draw would have dropped us into the bottom three, but this result sees us remain in 17th.

Nice prediction, Birch; nice goal, Carroll.

Half time: QPR 1, Swansea City 0. Barton scored just into stoppage time after Swansea failed to adequately clear a blocked Taarabt free kick.

    Mackie scores! We're leading 2-0.

Oddly, Wigan is leading Manchester United 1-0 at the moment.

Buzsaky scored a 3rd for QPR. FT: QPR 3, Swansea 0.

Wigan pulled off a 1-0 upset of Manchester United.

Wolves lost 0-3 at home to Arsenal.

It's the R's and Latics currently in safety, but Bolton has a game in hand. Were they to win that, we'd only be safe due to goal difference.

    16 QPR 33 -18 31

Unfortunately, we got nothing out of a trip to The Hawthorns. 0-1 loss.

Fortunately, Blackburn lost 0-3 to Swansea. Wolves drew, but they're not our main concern.

Bolton's home game against Spurs was postponed due to Tottenham's FA Cup involvement. Bolton now has 2 games in hand.

    Wigan plays at Arsenal today.

4 games left for us, Blackburn, and Wolves. 4 more for Wigan after they play Arsenal today. 6 more for Bolton.

    16 QPR 34 -19 31
    17 Wigan 33 -26 31
    ------
    18 Bolton 32 -29 29
    19 Blackburn 34 -28 28
    20 Wolves 34 -39 23

    Remaining for the R's:

    H Spurs
    A Chelsea
    H Stoke
    A Man City

Massive win over Spurs by the R's. Taarabt scored in the first half, then was sent off for a second yellow in the second half, so he'll miss the Chelsea game.

Wigan lost at Fulham. Blackburn beat Norwich. Bolton drew with Swansea. Villa drew with Sunderland.

Wolves host Man City tomorrow. Villa hosts Bolton on Tuesday.
