His agent was "ranting" and said something to the effect that it was like he (Gago) had scabies because of the way he was treated his last season here and because of that perceived mistreatment he won't train.

He doesn't really have scabies

It's the first time I'm seeing this video. God, it's so hearth breaking to see Florentino in tears.

Real Madrid are lucky to have him as president.

Castilla defeated the first team, which was without most of the starting players, with 5-1. The teams aren't listed in the article, but these were the line-ups:

Castilla: Adán, Juanfran, Mateos, Iván ,Casado, Mosquera, Sahin, Lucas, Alex, Denis and Morata.
Real Madrid B: Jesús; Fabinbo, Varane, Nacho, Ríos; Granero, Lass, Callejón, Kaká; Di María and Higuaín.

Real Madrid is Figo's home. Lets bring him home.

Real Madrid will have the dream team all under one roof again in the next few years.

    O Captain! My Captain!

Not gonna happen though. He's a man of strong opinions and Jose don't like that. Figo it shall be. Lets get the old gang together.

He's had a few deskjobs until now, and the people following those in Spain can say a word or two about how he fared. I didn't follow him too closely.

Doesn't Hierro also not have a good relationship with Perez, or was that only Del Bosque?

I'm still unsure what exactly Zidane's job description was to be able to say if Hierro or anybody else for that matter would be a good fit.

I've always thought that Zidane was given that "title" to lessen the media noise from letting Valdano go. In reality, he still maintained the hands off "ambassador" of the club role, which just meant traveling with the club and looking pretty.
