Yeah, especially with the fact that Abidal is holding off on contract renewals now due to the Beckham rule being removed
Exactly, that's why Abidal is delaying his contract talks because he wants to ensure his salary doesn't suffer with the tax increases. Meaning they're more likely to go for someone with the future in mind.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...th-married-Man-Utd-love-rat-Patrice-Evra.html So Evra was being a Naughty boy. Not the ideal time for this stuff to come up.
This just confirms my hypothesis. Our players play better when they are getting some on the side. Evra starts shagging some bird, he starts playing well again. Just a matter of time before we here Rooney is nailing some hookers again.
Giggs has probably been in the game for years..heh. I'm sure he never left. That's the real reason he hasn't retired.
So what we're basically saying is that despite his looks and personality Luis Suarez is the only Liverpool player getting any? Perhaps it's the widely noted frequency and talent with which he goes down...
Gotta say, he at least halted the decline this year. Even maybe improved from the last year or 2. Buttner has a lot of potential and if Fabio wasn't glass-made he could potentially have a say in the role. But Evra was maybe a 5-7/10 most of this year I'd say.
Hard to remember when the decline started. I seem to remember him and Fletcher having standout seasons in 08-09, but it may have been one or the other. Regardless, he's regained my faith for now.
Averaging 4.7 crosses attempted per game so far this season compared to 2.55 last season. Can see why we wanted Baines, as i said in the summer.
That is why Moyes needs to go out and sign Coentrao since he also has an actual end product and is probably better than Evra and Baines in defence.
He's averaging more crosses because that's apparently the type of game Moyes wants to play. Overloading the flanks and playing GWAC. That doesn't mean we should go out and buy players to do that. What we should do is find a manager who isn't daft.
If he just wanted to overload the flanks he wouldn't just be playing Kagawa, Welbeck and Janzuaj all drifting from the left this season. None of them are out and out wingers or crossers from wide, which is what he did at Everton too with Pienaar. That leaves space for the left back more to further drive forward and get crosses in with a extra man central in some attacks. Even on the right we've seen Nani/Valencia in different games tucking in more with Right back pushing on like Sociedad away for example or West Brom 2nd half but generally that flank keeps width more than the left one. ........ And we should certainly buy players that suit the system we want to play best. For example Dortmund buy players with very good workrate and athletic ability as a priority because they want to play a high intensity team pressing game. They might not even buy the likes of Ozil if he was available for that reason but instead would want a Kagawa or Mkhtirayan even though they might be inferior players creatively.
