I really like how the Milan board has a thread dedicated to other teams, and figured maybe we could have one here so we can discuss other results in Serie A and the other leagues.

I just read that Palermo has brought back Francesco Guidolin as coach after they got trashed last evening. This is of course hysterical considering how many times they've fired him in the past at least two or three times.

Did anyone see the game by the way? Amauri is rooting over there, other than the 20 million Palermo want, he should personally pay us to rescue him from rooting over there. Palermo never really showed up for the game, and it's a shame, especially reading all the stupid pro-Juve headlines this morning.

Anyone know why Bresciano is playing so little at Palermo? He came on last night and gave a bit of hope to a doomed team. I remember Palermo playing much better once he came on against us.

I watched a bit of the game yeserday...on and off. But once they went up 2-0, i gave up, as i knew Palermo would not come back. Amauri has not been playing well...very unnoticeable. Whoever pays 20m for his services is just as crazy as Palermo in pricing him that much.

I'm also very impressed with Udinese this season. After selling Di Michelle, Iaquinta, i really thought that this team would be in the relegation area, battling for survival. But with the great form and confidence of Di Natale, they are in the top 3 i believe, tied with Roma. I've always liked Udinese and glad they are doing so well. Hope they can keep it up and finish in a CL spot...behind Roma of course.

Considering the state of Palermo's midfield, I don't Maradona himself could do anything. From what I saw last night it's not his fault, Palermo couldn't get the ball anywhere near him.

Not so much a reflection on him as it is his team. The guy has a lot to offer in my opinion. If you put him in a healthy Roma he would be terrorizing people.

I'm a little worried that we have to play them next weekend. I haven't seen them play much this year, but they seem to be in good form.

Next weekend will be interesting to say the least:

    Fiorentina (5th) - Inter (1st)
    Roma (2nd) - Udinese (4th)
AC Milan (Do us a favor) - Rubentus (3rd)

Corini is a massive loss to Palermo. Palermo are mad for letting him go this summer, I know at 37 yrs of age Corini doesn't have a great future, but he definitely was a great asset to their midfield. And they miss him. He was great at being creative in the mid field and also with the free kicks. Hence the reason why Roam was interested in signing him.

Did you notice the spat with Del Piero and Paladino ... disgusting how the media spun that into a positive. Can you imagine if Totti did something like that to Aquilani? He would be insulted by every newspaper.

Oddio la Rube! Gobbi di merda!

I think Paladino shouted at another player for not passing him back the ball when he was open. Del Piero decided to have his say.

I guess grandpa is a bit grumpy now that Juve is back in Serie A and he's back on the bench watching the game. Maybe life was easier in Serie B.

Holy Shit...that's not very appropriate at all. ADP looked upset sitting on the bench in the first half as the camera was always showing shots of him. I know Palladino is young and shouting at another player isn't the right thing to do, especially if it's at another veteran player...but, there was no need for ADP to do that to Palladino. That's just embarrassing. ADP should of just said to stop. Wish i could read lips...ADP has become a sour puss the past year...going through a mid life crisis or something.

BTW- The day Totti ever does that to De Rossi or Aquilani is the day i stop being a Totti fan. But Totti would never do that bc he respects his fellow players and these types of demonstrations occur in training...not on the field.

haha...imagine if Juve kept Miccolli??? Trez, Iaquinta, Miccolli, Palladino...ADP!!! He would have an honorary seat on the bench. I like ADP, but he's not acting like the respectful ADP of old.

What do you think of the Suazo situation? Initially Roma had a verbal agreement with him that he accepted...then Milan "signed" him , then Inter came out of no where and signed him. Imagine having Suazo play up front for Roma...especially without Totti? Bad career move for him in my opinion.

I think he's had a bit of a chip on his shoulder since Ibrahimovic came to Juventus and Capello benched him. Then came the World Cup and he was on the bench giving interviews comparing himself with Achilles . Now we qualify for the Euro, were he was completely lousy in every game, and he gives interviews saying he's earned his spot on the squad.

The guy needs to get over himself

Those were the great days of the Capello/ADP saga! Del Piero was constantly benched. Last season he was once again the old Del Piero who lead Juve and scored many goals that lead them back to A. Now that Juve signed Iaquinta and Trez is on good form, he's back to the bench. It's difficult for player with large egos to sit on the bench...Cassano for example.

What can you say, shit happens.

I'm happy with what I see in Vucinic for the moment. In him there is a world class player, now it's just for Spalletti and the team to bring him out. He has the movement, speed, technique, intelligence, and grit in him.

Once the season is over we'll see what to do. Suazo is out of the pitcure for now, and I don't see Inter unloading him. They bought him to keep him away from the competition.

Should we be surprised that Tavano has 6 goals for Livorno? The poor guy couldn't make an impression at Roma, leaves and is back to his old form from his Empoli days where he scored 19 goals.

Anyone watch any of the other CL games this week. I watched Rosenborg - Chelsea on Wednesday and I have to say that I would not want to meet this Chelsea. I've been trying to downplay it by telling my self that they played a weak Norwegian team. A team who's success so far in the group stage is only based on the fact that they came into the CL near the end of their season against teams just starting and kind of surprised them. But it's not helping much.

Cassano made his return to the pitch today for Sampdoria, and played surprisingly well. He gave defenders a ton of trouble and set up some of the goals. Along with his form, he regained his famous temper. TV cameras caught him cursing out the ref after he was booked for a foul. He also got into an argument with Regina's coach on the side of the pitch.

    Anyone watching Milan - Merdentus?

Yes!!!! The "scudetto contenders" failed to beat AC Milan tonight. That leaves Rubentus 1 point ahead of us, having played two more games than us. If we can defeat Udinese tomorrow we will claim second place. Then later this week we have the match against Cagliari that was postponed.

So if we don't drop the ball we can go 5 points over them.

LOL at all the articles claiming Del Piero as a super sub after one game against a Palermo that never even showed up on the pitch.

    Rube merda sempre!

Pippo Inzaghi went into the history books last night as the new top scorer in UEFA competitions. Love him or hate, you can't deny what an achievement that is. The only downside you can make is that when Gerd Muller set the record there were far fewer competitions. None the less ... respect to Super Pippo.

I'm really hoping Lazio can pull a miracle tonight and tie Inter. I'm not getting greedy and asking for a victory, but just a tie. Inter really is missing a lot of players right now. Dacourt is injured (LOL), along with Stankovich and Figo. If only some of their strikers would break down or catch a cold.

Forget that, I'm praying for the miracle. This is the one match of the year (maybe ever) where I will actually be cheering on the "other" team from Roma.

Seeing the look of jpy on Pippo's face after scoring that goal was fantastic. Really nice to see him go down in the record books. Good for him...especially after coming back from his injuries a few years back.

How in the world Kaka didn't score on his glorious chance inside the area when he had the keeper beat, i will never understand...guess he didn't get his shot off fast enough.
