The overhead view looked onside to me. They showed the sideline view at halftime and that looked like he was offsides. So fair enough I guess...
Costacurta says .... Chi e Balotelli? http://www.football-italia.net/46408/costacurta-balotelli-never-world-class
The Olympiakos GK is absoulutely horrendous. Man U don't deserve to go through, i hope Olymp can pull one back
i hate man u as much as anyone here but honestly its better to see them next round than olympiakos...neither team deserved next round anyway at least now hopefully we can see a good ManU humiliation next round if they get a bayern, barca or real....hell i think any of the teams left can beat them, except chelsea
"Deserves to" is a differently qualifier than "gets to". See Italy vs. South Korea 2002, or more generally South Korea's tournament play. They certainly "got" to go through, they most definitely didn't "deserve" to. That being said I didn't watch Man U vs. Olymp. so I have nothing else relevant to say...
Just saw Milan Channel's predicted lineup for them tomorrow, my goodness Milan have a terrible team. What the hell was Galliani thinking?
He was thinking that his boss told him to cut the wage bill by 40% while making a profit in the transfer market. Despite Milan's woeful play on the pitch, most of their players are still probably worth more than Galliani paid for them. He also was not allowed to spend the money necessary to get rid of Allegri until it was way too late, and even then, he was only allowed a cheap stopgap/sacrificial lamb like Seedorf. He's a business guy with a mandate. You can't hold him responsible for this mess.
Did not happen overnight. If where talking business, there goes any kind of TV revenue for next year at the very least.
I'm not denying Milan has screwed the pooch, I'm just saying I don't think Galliani could have stopped it given Berlu's oscillations in money/interest based on his political situation. Berlusconi knows he can sell the club for a mint to a petrozillionaire any time he wants, but he has ulterior motives. Right now he obviously doesn't feel he needs a "peak" Milan so the wallet stays closed and the results suffer... he will ride the accomplishments of the past a little longer to save cash... I think a mediocre Milan probably suits him just fine right now. Galliani can only do so much when the conditions to invest in players is to sell Robinho first at a price no one in the world is going to pay. He will probably flog Kaka off to MLS in the summer and squeeze by on that cash a little longer.
Both Cesare Prandelli and Fredy Guarin officially extended their respective contracts today. Thank Christ for that, because that's two bullets dodged for us.
*Shrugs* Conte for Italy? If that's the case I'd be confused though. He is far superior in the league when compared to tournaments/cups.
