I have never said Messi or bust. All I have stated that Cavani is no better or worse than what he have. He would make a nice addition. He will not guarantee us the CL or anything else. If we can get him for 15 million, take him. But if his price tag really is 45 million, it is a waste of money. He is not that good.

I never said any of these players will guarantee us the CL or anything either. All's I have stated is my belief that our striker corps require upgrades and/or additions. And, that to do so, Juventus should look to players such as Aguero, Falcao, Higuain, Cavani, etc. would do so. If you do not care for Cavani, that's fine - others on here hate Suarez, for instance. But, I'm glad we finally got to the heart of the issue here.

And those players are not necessarily upgrades in my opinion. They are high profile, mostly from the media that does not know crap. If we sign any of them, they will bring us moments. Vucinic brought us moments. Hell, even Borriello brought a moment.

We need to add strikers to our team as we have lost Del Piero and hopefully send Borriello back home. In fact, I hope they left him off the plane last night, told him to go to his flat in Rome and that the club will ship his stuff to him. My preference is that we find strikers that will fit in Conte's system. If they are not high profile, who cares. The top strikers in the world are not available. And I am more than OK with that.

And, that is your opinion, one with which I disagree.

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has told his team-mates that he is leaving the club this summer and says he is preparing "for a great leap into the unknown" away from Stamford Bridge.

Drogba is going to Shanghai to join Anelka. The rumor I read was that they were going to pay him $300k a WEEK.

Yeah, I wouldn't turn that down either.

This is bad news because Chelsea will be hunting for a few strikers this summer.

I thought it was because of the smell of garbage everywhere.

Of all the teams that are involved in this match fixing scandal, I hope Napoli gets hit the hardest. Their tifosi are always so quick to talk shit about our 30 Scudetti. They have a constant hard on for us. I guess it was tough finding rivals in C1 a few years ago, so they had to make one up along the way.

Damn, it feels good to be the bad guy.

I just despise how so many of their fans wallow in victimized self-pity and and then behave like every other asswipe fanbase. But then when they're called on it or faced with similar behavior, they equivocate and retreat again into self-pity. It's the hypocrisy that I find obnoxious.

u guys serious? napoli is a garbage team that is NOT even CLOSE to our records....they are not even our rivals. dont give in to their bs...so what if they won a few games, we are still superior to them....if and only IF they end up winning like 5 scudettos in a row then i might consider them some kind of rival but for now they are nothing but a small team....mark my words, if they get rid of lavezzi they will be a lower table team, even if they keep cavani and hamsik

Will Napoli go for Di Matteo? Reports out of England are that he will snub Chelsea's one year trial. If I were him though I wait until after the Euro because he could get the Italy job.

That would be a dumb move. If I were him, I'd take the one year Chelsea trial.

He could? Based on what? His years as an assistant head coach or his few months in charge of Chelsea? I would hope it's not Di Matteo.

They were foolish to have hired him in the first place. Thought he would be Mourinho 2.0 when he was anything but. Instead of trying to replicate Jose's accomplishments, they should have selected a manager who's long term plan they trusted and then they should have given whoever that was the money and time to rebuild the team. Instead, they thought they could rely on an ageing team that had already won everything to repeat its success.

It was one Moggi's greatest qualities. He always recognized when a winning cycle was over and he never hesitated to sell players in order to rebuild the squad.

Benitez had a career? Spending huge sums on crap players to play crap football at Liverpool, which lucked into becoming the most laughable CL winning team of all time? Seriously, what other than dumb luck makes Benitez any different from Avram Grant? Correct answer: Grant at least had enough class never to coach Inter.

I guess winning the CL is a walk in the park. Beating Barcelona on the way and 2 time in 3 year finalist Bayern at home...

I rate pre-Liverpool Benitez pretty highly. His Valencia side temporarily broke the dominance of Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga and they were very good to watch. His time at Liverpool was, in many ways, vastly overrated and many of his signings were questionable at best. But he did win one CL final and finished runner-up in another. That can't be denied.
