Hulk for 40m and Alex Witsel for 40m to Zenit St. Petersburg for a grand total of 80 million euros.

    That's a lot of rubles.

Since he did so much for Chelsea winning that CL, Meireles was sent to Fenerbache as a reward.

PSG signed Van Der Wiel. I guess they were serious about Litch.

They're going to love playing in 2 degrees in front of 7000 people.

Like I've said a thousand times before: It's not all about winning or atmosphere. It's all about the money. I'd play in Siberia for 15m a year for 5 years, too.

Van Der Wiel is a stud. I'm surprised he never went to a team like Arsenal.

Yes if the alternative is your current job and salary. But if you can chose between Siberia and €15m and Barcelona and €10m it becomes more complicated.

They never revealed the wages that he or Witsel signed for, but I'm sure that they weren't cheap.

I think Zenit could make a deep Champions League run this year. Spalletti has turned them into a good team, and these signings make them stronger.

I'm sure they weren't. But we all know it's just a matter of time before they want to leave. Money isn't everything. They'll know that before too long.

    He's shit.

They will leave for half of those fees in a few years. Still not worth it.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that you were a big Ajax guy. Tell me more about the players on the club, if you could. I watched them a lot last year since Eredivisie matches are available on ESPN3, and it's good filler programming.

I have seen him get beat silly many times. Also losing the ball in the offensive side repeatedly.

I was hoping that you would actually answer my question about how often you watch Ajax/Eredivisie matches. Just seems like an answer that people give about someone when they've seen them play once or twice, and they form their opinions on that. I've seen him quite often. He doesn't look shit to me.

I can answer that for him: Basically never. We all know that's the truth.

How many chances does one have to give a player before determining if he is shit or not? If one understands the game and has an eye for talent, that is all that is needed. Basing a player on a YouTube clip does not do the job.

Since you don't think Ronaldo is world class I think we can all safely just ignore your "eye for talent".
