That was a replay. Usually after a goal, the cameraman will get the goalie's reaction. He just happened to catch De Sanctis' wild celebration. It's more complicated than that. Fixers will give players gifts and presents to start, then once they have them in their pocket they ask for small favors in exchange for a few bucks. Players growing up aren't taught how to resist these people. In the case of Beppe Signori and Cristiano Doni, everyone knew who they were, so they didn't think about turning them down. After a while, you can't get out of it, and if you try, they threaten your career or life. There are a lot of players who simply don't care, and just do it regardless. Most players do it because they aren't being paid and they need the money. That usually happens at the lower levels, but still happens even in the top flight. The reason why teams should be punished is because they're not oblivious to what's going on. They know what happens in their dressing rooms. In some cases, presidents will fix results to ensure promotion or to stave off relegation. The reason why Lecce was relegated to Lega Pro was because of what their president did during the Calcioscommessi scandal in selling matches.
If there is proof, actual proof, then go after team officials. But the way the law is written, the teams are guilty regardless of evidence.
so only 1 point deduction for napoli players who were involved?? juve gets punished for something that is not even related to us, conte at siena, and we get our coach banned 4 months......napoli had direct involvement and all they get is 1 point....LOL...What a justice system
Piers Morgan @piersmorgan Wenger must resign tonight. This humiliation cannot continue - for him, the Club, and the fans. Our best XI lost to a side who are 4th in League 2 - Arsene, please, for the love of God, resign.
Bradford City - The only English team that would actually take Europa League seriously if they won the League Cup.
You were the one who demanded Juve sign Wenger. Should I dig up that post or will you own up to it like a man?
Which means England has one more team than Italy that would ever take the Europa League seriously. And for once, the English are on the right side of an issue. Europa League could not get any more Mickey Mouse if it were sponsored by Euro Disney.
Piers Morgan is a douche. Was making fun of us in the summer saying RVP would never leave to an inferior team. But any how, I hope we beat Arsenal in the knockout round if we draw them so Marotta can give Wenger a Caramello to ease the pain of getting owned.
Beating an English team is always gratifying. Especially in England. I wouldn't mind smashing Madrid and Mou a beating either. Bring on Barca for that matter, the sooner the better.
thats awesome its kinda sad how serie A fans have dropped big time....i remember games that fans were crazy and crowded like rome stadium would be FILLED completely over flowing....now days half the stadium is EMPTY....even for the lazio-roma derby
When exactly was the Rome derby half empty? I'd bet my left nut that hasn't happened in your lifetime.
The stadium was empty because the match was on a Monday night at 7 pm between two teams who are 8th and 13th in the table. The Olimpico isn't empty for the Deby della Capitale, but there are some empty seats for two reasons: The stadium they play in is a piece of shit, and the "fans" of both teams would rather be outside trying to stab each other to death like it's some kind of war.
man the last 3 years or so i remember seeing big parts of the stadium empty....back in the day u couldnt even see the seats there were so many people.
Last three derbys: 51.461 51.265 50.801 I'm sure there are serious safety precautions for those games so capacity is probably under 60k.
The police and a man with a gun allegedly attacked Tigre from Argentina in their dressing room at halftime of the Copa Sudamericana Final last night in Sao Paulo. They refused to come out, so after 30 minutes of waiting, the referee awarded a victory and the title to Sao Paulo. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...violence-against-their-players-by-police.html
