Must spread. The revolving door at Bayern has been one of the major culprits of our issues. Well, that and the FO that keeps firing and hiring them. :D

lol - Well played, my friend. Will check to see if I have any rep in the fridge for you.

BTW...Billy Idol called. He says you only get custody of the sneer on weekends. He'll be over later to pick it up.

At the very least Coach, DI and SirManc mentioned that we can't really read too much into the HSV match for that very reason.

    For example:

Hey man easy :D, I told them to enjoy it too. You can only play as well as your opponent allows you to. The next games will put it into perspective of how good we truly are but you can pretty much say that about any team.

    For example: :D

And you can stop rolling your eyes like a first grader. We all have biases, I am aware of mine. I prefer to watch unpredictable and attacking football, but love almost any league... I just prefer one over the next, and there is nothing wrong with that.

    What exactly was your point??

LOL maybe you should read the actual thread before throwing the easy hypocrital words at people, there were a few people that talked about "just Hamburg" and "they are awful" along with "look at how bad Dortmund dominated them"

Then maybe you would save everyone some time and not bother with this post. I don't care though, bad or good teams, you can only beat whoever is in front of you. So congratulations to both Bayern & United for kicking those team's asses, though United was more of a 40 minute story but then again they didn't play Hamburg either.

IIRC when Man U won the C.L few years ago, it was all about organized defensive counter attacking football (it really was defend, defend, defend, then send the ball to C. Ronaldo to initiate a counter attack. Im not sure how Man U play in the EPL, but when it comes to the C.L they definitely dont play the attacking football you are talking about.

I talked with a friend of mine who lives in Milano, and he told Inter fans are pretty sure that if Sneider leaves, Goetze will come.

Indeed, they should either stay in Germany or move to a top 4 EPL club or Real Madrid if they have a good chance of starting. Otherwise no point imo.

I think this is a bit disingenuous describing that side. It was defensive absolutely, but most attacking teams are built on a strong defense. It also wasn't necessarily a counter-attacking team but it was certainly a plan to attack that way. Overall I'd describe that side to be a combination of things which is why I think they eventually did so well. Defensive organization, players in midfield who retained and played possession when they had to and then a front-four, front-three that could decimate any opponent on the counter. Ronaldo hit incredible form that season so of course play was directed at him, and because he played as the pseudo-strike. They were more cautious in Europe but I think every club is, including Barcelona (They of course make things look a lot easier because of their individual quality and the gap between them and most). Domestically that United side was definitely attack-minded.

Malmo-Dynamo Zagreb, the most epic game i have seen in a few years. 7-8 players in both teams run over 12 km. :O

Hope we get Zagreb from pot 4.

Hoping for the toughest groups possible for Bundesliga sides.

Napoli and Dortmund in Pot 3, Villarreal in Pot 2 most likely. Should be some great groups this year.

Why would you want the toughest draw? :D Leverkusen are known chokers and Dortmund are inexperienced, do you really want them to go out in the group stages?

According to xs4all.nl (Bert Kassies homepage) Dortmund is with todays results (Villareal and Bayern won) in pot 4, since Arsenal, Lyon, Benfica collected more points than Dortmund and all play against team who collected more points than Dortmund as well. But even as a pot 4 side if Dortmund uses their potential they will make it out of most groups.

Btw: Napoli in pot 4 as well.
