    Hi, Falcon.

Do you reckon Magnasco will have a starting role with Groningen?

Yes, I can't see them buying players from that far away just to sit on the bench (tho not all have been a success). Likely brought for the starting XI.
    he so scrumptiouz repped this.

Greece grab a goal at the close of the 1st half. Can it be possible that the Russians go back home with their tail between their legs?

Could you ask for any more drama than in the Greece/Russia match. Superb individual play to get the goal and then massive defending for 45+4 minutes to seal the deal. Massive victory and Advocaat now comes back to the Dutch league without making it out of the group!

Those photo's have an air of humiliating people a bit. I don't like how those get public. Is this never subject of debate in Canada?

Spurs apparently in talks with Laurent Blanc. Very good choice imo, probably my 2nd favourite coach in the world right now.

Chilean Miguel Aceval involved? Not surprising: off the field discipline is something most Chilean players lack: currently the FA has suspended about 9 players for issues during NT training camps, with the most recent incident taking place last week involving Sevilla's Gary Medel and Napoli's Eduardo Vargas.

Our players just don't make smart decisions off the field.

I've never heard a debate over it, although I dont actually know what the rules are regarding the release of mug shots here. I can't say I can recall seeing any mugshots in the papers of people who were arrested here.
But yeah, I have no idea how these pictures get in the hands of the media

    Martinez to Bayern.

40 million Euro's. Not sure about that. Doesn't sound like Bayern.

Good for them. I think Strootman is the same kind of player. Curious who will have a bigger career.

^according to the article the transfer fee is still being negotiated. I doubt Bayern will pay €40M for any player, only oil money does this these days.

No, 40 million won't fly. Would be a good buy though. Tymo is getting old and need to be replaced and that Brazilian kid has probably not the attacking dimension a Martinez would bring.

^I just saw a posting quoting Martinez's agent saying that Bayern have not even contacted him.

^ It's official now. Good signing for them.

Vitesse's kit looks pretty good for this season.

Bayern have a hard on for Martinez. Its him or not. Actually Heyneckes does. He is in love with Martinez.

But 40M is probably too big for Bayern. Bayern want to buy him for 20-25M odd, maybe strech it out to 30M odd at best. Problem is Bilbao players have massive loyalty,Bilbao signs only players of Basque origin. I think Bielsa signed a new contract under the condition that Llorente & Martinez are staying.

I dont see this transfer happening. Bayern have to show a profit & their transfer record is 35M & Robben or Ribery costed 25M. It will be literally impossible for them to justify this spending

I agree that it looks good. But are they going to play without a sponsor or what?

I think he's a good manager who got shafted by the entrenched old guard players at Chelsea. It will be fun to watch Spurs this season as he now has something to prove to Chelsea and the other EPL teams. Unfortunately, it may not bode well for Van der Vaart but we'll need to see how that plays out.

i'm not so sure about that. AVB needs skilled midfielders who can create space. Tottenham doesn't really have any of those after VdV and Modric, and I imagine whatever transfer funds they might have will probably have to go towards getting a striker. I think the players with more to worry about are Parker, and all their slow CBs.

I'm hoping to see a midfield of Modric (or if he gets sold: his replacement) - Sandro - VdV and Kaboul and Vertonghen as the CBs.

I still think that they would be best off selling Modric for a shitload of cash, which they could use to build other areas and get an adequate replacement, however I doubt very much that AVB would sell the player that last year he tried so hard to get

I hope he leads them into relegation. I hate Tottenham.
