Aalborg (pronounced all-bury) has had recent success. Not a bad club to go to right now.

Right now im watching Randers vs. Silkeborg. I dont know why Yura chose to go there. As far as talent goes it seemed to me that it wasnt really up to par with the MLS. Thats the first and only game ive seen from that league though. He'll be good enough to have a hay-day there!

Right now it looks like a horrible decision. They will almost certainly be relegated. Yura will not likely see any Champions League action. And at least some of their fans are concerned about the viability of the club if they are relegated.

No one said we'll be taking him... but he'll be back. Like a dog returns to its vomit.

Nor will he be taking us. ;)

Agree though... Yanks-->Scandinavia typically have 1 or 2 season shelf life. Europe is a near perfect football meritocracy. If a player has what it takes... he will be discovered & he will move up the food chain. That (plus cash) is the allure for all the Yuras of the world.

But if not, that too will be apparent early on. And then the adventure's novelty starts to fade. And the winters get long & dark. And then the inevitable return to MLS.

Yura will be a Quake or Goat or Whitecap by 2012.

i am guessing the opposite. I see Yura playing for a premier or first division dutch team in a couple years... and I honestly hope he does
