This is a thread for those of us forty and over to talk about the good old days, when we had to walk uphill five miles in the snow just to wach Soccer Made in Germany. You young whippersnappers hush up and get me my Geritol, or I'll beat you with my cane.
I remember when I used to de-seed my stash on Double album covers. Nowadays, no albums. And better yet.....No Seeds
Great thread, by cracky!! I remember when you had to blow up soccer balls just using your lungs, because pumps had not been invented. Of course, these young whippersnappers weren't sexually active during the 60's, so they haven't lived.
I remember when you could still hitch hike with out fear of getting the full Ned Beatty treatment or getting banged for your wallet.
Some folks did a few too many headers with a heavy wet leather ball. Don't forget searching for soccer results and discussion on r.s.s. (after Al Gore invented the internet and OT was still sane. ).
Let's just say that if you are proficient at COBOL, FORTRAN and DOS, Windows is a snap. Let's move on little one.
Yeah - I remember having to do things like play games with people on Christmas because the tv sucked and there were no electronic gadgets to play games with. I also remember having to figure out when the good shows on and watch them when they were actually broadcast.
Slip-sliding away Apparently the "Old Geezers" have a short attention span. They've already let this thread slip to the bottom of page 2 (or maybe they were hoping for some Page 3 girls if it slipped further).
Little Feat "Waiting for Columbus" and the Beatles "White Album" were my personal favorites for deseeding my pot. I also liked The Doors "LA Woman." Man, I had COMPLETELY forgotten about doing this. Then again, I was usually stoned right afterwards.
No sh!t, but I was at that show at Lisner Auditaurium. They had just got back from Europe and all their equipment got jacked. They went to Venemans Music and borrowed a bunch of amps and stuff and pulled it off. Little Feat.........often imitated, never duplicated Lowell George Lives...........
Hmm, difficult one. I vote for the home computer, but I became well-acquainted with the post-it well before I knew about those home computer things.
