Well done, Pachuca. You're now my favorite Mexican side for knocking Houston out of two competitions this year, and beating the LA Beckhams last night. Gracias por todos. Viva Tuzos.

should pachuca make it to face boca jrs in the CWC, and play like they did last night, it might be a repeat of the internacional game... letting landin and arrellano go for marquez lugo and rey was a mistake. why give away youth for these two washed up clowns. would have been a great move 5 years ago.

You could see that Calero had studied and had seen Donovan kick his penalty, always on the middle y con efecto. I knew Calero would stop it, he didn't play like this in Copa America, but for Pachuca, he's one of the best keepers playing in Mexico, un gran atleta mas que nada.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! It was funny to see Donovan's face after his team lost. It seemed like he wanted to cry. I wonder why he didn't get carded because of that payasada before he did before his PK. Did he think he was one of the Super Campeones or something? I still think they should bury Superliga or change it to a home & away match with the FMF champ vs mls champ. Superliga is just a waste of time and energy with no benefit for the mexican teams.

I think next year they should play all the games in Mexico.

Yeah but who would go watch?

I suppose if they make enough money off of the tv deals, they could always give tickets away like Pachuca in the CCC. But chivas have had trouble getting people to go to non-Boca/SaoPaolo Libertadores games, let alone MLS rivals.

It wouldn't work Sids. Not many people care about this exhibition tournament. What should be held in Mexico is the damn Gold Cup. How the hell does the US host 3 out of the last 4 times?!

Yea, but he's too inconsistent now. Just 3 days ago he fu*ked one up really bad. And he was by far the worst goalie in la Copa America.

Although the final match was somewhat entertaining, it was the only Superliga match I watched.

I had nothing better to do on a Wed. night just before a 3 day weekend. I will be partying soon enough come this weekend...

I am going to have to agree with you that this tournament should be a footnote in North American Futbol History.*

*Club Pachuca. The 1st and last Superliga champ.

As it is, the calender is already too congested for MFL teams.

    We'll see if there's a next year.

My best guess is the sponsors will keep this tourney alive.

The other one they like to use is if you don't support the MLS then you hate the United States and should leave.
