Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread Nothing to do w/the Quakes thread or forums but I wish the rules were the same for every sub category across the whole forum. I got called "stupid" twice in a thread from a certain mod in the Italian forum and reported him to Supermods. Not only did I never get an answer from any of the many mods I complained to but the posts were never removed nor did he ever apologize for what he said to me. The only reason was because I didn't agree with him on his 3 year tanget about removing an owner of a club blaming the owner for all the clubs woes. It seems some mods though abuse their rights and authority but they seem to get away with what other normal posters don't . Sad in a way. Back to Simon Dawkins, missing 9 games will prove fatal to an already lackluster forward line. It doesn't look like the Quakes will recover with the group they have.
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread That was a mistake--I don't know if it was me or it was technology. The button I intended to click was "language" and warning only. If you didn't have it set such that you can't be PM'd I'd have done it that way and avoided the formal system altogether. If it bothers you LMK and I'll try to get it undone since you didn't flame anyone....or it'll expire just left alone.
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread So, let's see if this works (and appropos to this thread): Shit, Shit, Shitty, Shit, Shit
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread If you need something to help you issue a string of profanities, simply Google images of compartment syndrome. Hope what SD's experiencing is considerably less severe than those.
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread This is going to suck. The team hasn't looked great with Dawkins, but without him.....for up to 8 weeks.......ugh.
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread Yeah, instead of signing an aging gimpy foreigner we sign a young promising one, but the kid hadn't stop growing yet!
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread Think of it this way: at least we don't have to witness Dawkins becoming next week's recipient of the MLS playmaker broken leg award.

Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread Robert Jonas just tweeted that Dawkins said he could be good for 15 mins on Sat...guess it's better than nothing.

Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread While we're doing SiDawk extrapolations, he has 3 goals in about 5 games worth of minutes, which of course means that if he plays most the rest of the games, at his current run rate he'll have 20 goals.
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread and that is why this is so important. its crucial that this succeeds. injuries aside it has worked ideally, and its gonna encourage tottenham to send even more over.
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread Talented young players who have challenging injury issues... Maybe MLS + U.S. Sports Medicine is the real prize...

Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread That article is so English, I just couldn't read it w/o an English accent in my head. Good article though... I'm a little surprised that the English seem to think so highly of good form in MLS, i.e. the speculation that his good form in MLS may bring him back to the Spurs soon.
Re: The Official Simon Dawkins thread How about Spurs executive saying MLS is a better option than playing in the English lower divisions? Although I would agree the game is played differently over here than it is in Europe and playing in the summer months couple with the travel distance across the United States, I don't believe MLS is a better option than tiers 2-3, anyway. I mean don't get me wrong, I think MLS is turning into a fine league with each passing year as you can see teams gaining cofidence but to say its a better quality than tiers 2-3 , I'm just not so sure.
I wish we could produce players like dawkins in The U.S. Killer instinct infront of goal, great first touch, good vision, willingness to take players on and strong enough not to be pushed around. As you can tell I'm incredibly impressed with his play. Spurs hooked it up.
