A most apropos description of Quakes' fandom's present condition. Any more room under that desk? And another bottle, please.
I respectfully disagree. He was miscast playing alongside Wondo. I think that if you put Fucito up top with a Lenny or Gordon his speed, tenacity and overall 'peskiness' are going to prove very productive for us. Watching him over the past two weeks makes me feel like we've FINALLY got an answer for when Wondo isn't available -- something that was sorely lacking in the past couple of years.
http://www.mercurynews.com/other-sp...ports-digest-san-jose-earthquakes-mike-fucito Looks like we're going to have to rely on someone else for Saturday. I wonder if the injury occurred on one of his challenges to the keeper...
I like Fucito's work rate and tenacity but I feel he's more dangerous on the attack playing on the wing b/c of his pace & eye for goal. Kinda remind me of that kid we had a few years back, Amarikwa. Both played forward but in my opinion should've been playing on the wings.
I don't know if Fucito played on the wings before, and how his crossing ability is. May be he can be another Brian Mullan.

He was injured and missed most of the season. Now back and scored a brace in the last reserve match. I think he's going to help the team somehow before it's all over this season, granted there's very little time.
I see him reprising the role of spoiler that was originally performed by the enigmatic Rodrigo Faria.
To me he seemed like another RJ with a lot of heart but no finish. Of course I only saw him in the beginning of the season though...
Not far enough into the beginning of the season. He finished off a break away in Portland that had me sold he was the real thing, and did nothing but crane his neck into bigger/taller defienders the rest of the time he was playing before he got hurt... Thus prompting my tagging him "Chicken Hawk"...
From what I see & hear on social media, he's a great player in the reserve league. Always able to put the ball in the back of the net. But, for whatever reason, that doesn't translate for him if he cracks the 1st team.
