Landín has potential, but I think he needs more time. Up until now, he really hasn't even been a starting player at club level.

And internationally, going from ten minutes in the friendly against Ghana to Copa América is a big step.

I imagine that Kikin must have asked to be left out to negotiate a transfer or something.

    What was Palencia doing?

I'm just surprised by the thought process that led to Landin's 1st call-up under Hugo at this stage.

well atleast am glad Landin's there... way better than to call Palencia... maybe he won't make a big difference but he will get experience from this which will help him do a better job and a better player.. c'mon he's finally calling the young guys

Grrrrr .. am still mad@ osorio pardo salcido ... I think they should not be called again :(
Giovanni 2 Santos spoke like it should be!
they need to understand they are football players! what are they tired of playing? .. tsssk.. Tired los paisanos that work 10 hours a day for minimum wage ... gee Salcido is losing his humbility, but that happens sometimes when you go from being almost unknown to stardom.
remember when he first arrived to Mexico after winning the title on his declarations to the press it was quite obvious it was getting to his head ... que decepsion... oh well ... am just in awe that they are not motivated by the Copa America and facing Brazil and such ..

    Venga Magallon|Gringo|Pinto}Correa!!!

When salcido came back he did carry himself in interviews more arrogant. His reacent accitions have led me to not care for him too much. This attitude should definatly lead Hugo to give other players who really want to be there an oportunity.

I respect the decision from Salcido, Osorio, and Pavel. They dont want to risk injury and come back to training 100%. Look what happened to Ronaldinho this year he looked fatigue and out of shape. No time off can really screw a season up.

Do we need them to win yes. But can we win without them YES. The players that are going to be taking their place should step it up. :)

I'm really disappointed with Pavel, Osorio, and Salcido. I don't believe their excuse, I think they don't like the way things are going and are jumping ship. I say F them! The only one that I thought really needed the rest was Rafa because he's been hurt, he's played like shit, his spot with barca is up in the air, and he should really concentrate on keeping his job. To be honest, I'm ok with them never playing for la sele again. It's not like we actually won anything with these guys. Bring in the young guns! In fact, after this Copa America I only want to see Guardado, Nery, Ochoa, Corona, Correa, Landin, Cacho, Pinto, and Arce return. I may be missing a couple of names...

Yep and if it's an excuse from the "european guys" than it's very coward like ... I mean are they really more tired than Robinho? Riquelme? and such ... ah whatever if they want to play the champions league and not Copa America for Mexico so be it ... the thing that makes me think, is that pardo and oso had already talked to Hugo about this, but when it was made official, Salcido jumped on the boat! ... lastima ...

now I'll support them cause like any Mexican I want to see them do good, but I guess am still dissapointed.

first you say we are screwed if morales plays there, and now you ask if he's reliable there?

anyway, i'm excited about landin's incorporation, although he probably won't play until ecuador or chile. if morales plays, he has to play where guardado did. if hugo doesn't realize that, he's an idiot.

about salcido.. when he arrived in mexico, he said that he was ready to play both tournaments, now he backs off?

just speculation, but i wonder if they are doing this because they do not support of hugo. hmmm.
