Both ESPN Deportes and Terra have these guys listed as starters...

Oscar Pérez, Ricardo Osorio, Rafael Márquez, Gonzalo Pineda, Jonny Magallón, Oscar Rojas, Ramón Morales, Gerardo Torrado, Alberto Medina, Adolfo Bautista, Omar Bravo

I don't like it either, but one reason Hugo might want to use this lineup is that we'll face Ecuador in the Copa America. He might as well use tonight's game to check out other players and variations.

That line-up looks brutal! Do these guys really have a chance to play at the same time when the tourneys are played? With all of the attention that Guardado is seeing the midfield and right side will have a chance to do damage. Why wouldn't you put Bofo to start. I think he's going to get room to make some nice passes.
Am I wrong or has Bofo not started a single game yet? He needs to see time because Temoc might not be fit come Copa America and Oro. If Ecuador isn't as solid defensivlely why not attack them?

I doubt that will be the lineup.

I think there needs to be 1 experienced/reliable dude on each line.

Ramoncito or torrado need to be in there. I feel nervious with lopez and Galindo in their together.

what is up with people in these boards now!? have people forgotten Why it is called an NT!? there are a lot of socks going around these boards nowadays!

there is still some time till the Gold and America Cup and i wont be surprise if Hugo pulls out a whole different Lineup! remember the NT is packed for this summer! Gold cup, Copa America, then Paramericanos. clearly Hugo has 3 Goalies, and 2 need more experience!

I agreee, though, without using the exclamation points.

Hugo might want to achieve four things with this game:

    1. Win
    2. Test out different elements of his squad in prep for this summer
    3. Scout the opposing team
    4. Not give anything away

Maybe, he figures he can accomplish the bottom three objectives without sacrificing the first one. Though he might not put out his best eleven, he might be able to still take care of business and accomplish a bunch of other things as well. Also, being a friendly, he has 6 subs to erase any mistakes that his starting line-up may put out there.

Gotta remember that no game is played in a vacuum; there are unique factors to every game that must be considered other than simply who is the best player at his particular spot.

The current squad that played against Paraguay, and now agaisnt Ecuador, is 80% of the team that Hugo will take to the Gold Cup. It is a well balanced team of veterans and young talent.

Given that Hugo's first objective is to see which players make the first team and which ride the pine or dont merrit a call up. So, it makes perfect sense to start the likes of Rojas, Arce, and Palencia ect.

    Según El Reforma:
    -------------Ochoa
    ---------Marquez---Magallon
    Osorio---------------------Rojas
    -------Lopez-------Galindo
    Arce-----------------------Guardado
    --------Borgetti----Palencha

    Hugo:

Jaime Lozano plays for Tigres. He has recently been plagued by injuries and has only appeared in 4 games so far this Clausura.
