We need help on the back line desperately, what with Goodson with the Nats, Attakora severely banged up with concussion like symptoms, Mueller hurt, Corales hurt, Beita not at 100%, Hernandez wobbly, Harden out for the year, etc

If he is not too expensive, we need to try something for the remainder of this year.

Can he play Saturday or does he need to get his paperwork/visa approved? Inquiring minds want to know.

the comments from the millwall boards do not bode well for this acquisition...

Many questions go through my mind with this signing.

    1. We saw him in some games last season. He was OK and worked hard, but he was not the skillful type. Is he really an upgrade over Morrow as starting LB?

    2. Along the same line, is he projected to be starter or just depth? While we had issue because of cal-ups, suspensions and injuries, is depth really what we need right now?

    3. While we have been given up the early first goal almost every game and the defense is far from solid and lacks focus, these 2 latest signings are all on defense, and nothing is done to address the static midfield and offense.

As I remember, when we trailed him last year, it was at left midfield.

Hmm.. Well, that happened. It would be nice if the FO could get some youth rather than guys in their 30s...

Maybe I'll get to see him play here in Sac next week.

And, we are his fifth squad in three years. Here's to hoping something will click between SJ and this journeyman.

I wonder how he gets his first look, LB or "attack minded LM?"

especially the fact that he was at coventry last year... the only reason they signed him was because they did it a day before they got put under a transfer embargo and they were extremely desperate:

Coventry City: Jordan Stewart signs before transfer embargo
Coventry City have signed midfielder Jordan Stewart on a free transfer before being placed under a transfer embargo for the third season running for failing to file accounts.

is morrow injured? is that it?

or did the JD just sign a 3rd string left back (morrow>gargan>stewart) just because....

Well, he is kind of the WalMart of lower division English left-footed players.

Im hoping hes brought in for left mid competition, because we seem to have an opening there.

But he is not....Wal Mart-Wal Mart. therefore he is up a notch. Martinez has been a pretty considerable bust thus far.

if he's here to get a shot @ left mid then we got older and most likely slower as salinas, cato and garza are all going to probably be much faster.

True, not the WalMart WalMart, but now that I think about it, he is probably the WalMart Paddy McCourt. Well, we couldn't get Paddy, so...

The Quakes are actually thin in terms of left-sided players I think. There's Morrow and Ramiro (who is either injured or just too old or both), and can't think of any others off the top of my head. If Stewart can move the ball forward and deliver a decent cross from the left side, he might be useful.
