I think he will be the top goal-scoring defender in the league. His first touch on balls coming to him in the air may be one of the best in mls which will help make him a great defender and goal scorer on set pieces. Now if we can only find a player that is capable of reliably delivering good balls on set pieces....
One Ike Opara! Better than Ten Kei Kamaras! One Ike Opaaaarrraaaa! Better than Ten Kei Kamaaarraaaas!
"Opara Continues to Juggle Class, Soccer" (Monday, 4/19/10) Ike Opara has fully embraced his role as a rookie for the Quakes (Getty) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
So here is a odd thought. Which is possibly more inauspicious, when your leading goalscorer is a center-back, or when your leading goalscorer has scored 100% of your goals?
Great promotion idea, and easy and cheap, unless the Republican party wants to claim intellectual property or something on this, after all these years.
Could Ike make a push for the 30 man roster for the world cup or is he not eligible because he was part of the young group? Not sure how this works?
I think the way it works is you need to play more than 4 games in MLS to be considered. Dude, get real, he is a rookie with barely any experience.
"Brah", he has experience with the younger world-cup team. Plus he's better than most defenders in MLS. Experience or not I was asking how it works and if he's eligible.
