I hope you're right. Of course, that'll then mean having to face the San Antonio Spurs (without David Lee, no less). -G
But...but...they suck...Houston will pass them....Lakers will pass them....Dallas will pass them....Nuggets will sweep them.... Thanks experts, but you were all wrong.

Congrats! I picked GS to beat Denver, by the way. Also picked the Hawks, I was in love with #6 seeds, but that probably won't happen. Spurs, ouch that will be tough.
The good news is that now that Curry is becoming a marketable star, Stern will probably order the refs to give him the same special treatment that the other NBA cash cows get. Or am I being too cynical?
2013 NBA Western Conference Semifinal (best-of-seven): 0-1. The Golden State Warriors lost in double overtime at the San Antonio Spurs. Next up: Game 2 at the San Antonio Spurs on TNT HD on Wednesday. -G
I hope he's wrong as well, although it probably doesn't help morale that the Warriors lost after having a pretty significant lead for much of the game. -G
Eh, Brooklyn lost in triple overtime, immediately came back and trashed the Bulls, then came back the next game in Chicago and whupped 'em too. I don't think it means nuttin, except that now you gotta beat the Spurs 4 games out of 6, instead of 3 games out of 6.
The trick is to split the first two away games, then try to win on the road. We'll get another chance tomorrow. Klay needs to stay in the game and try not to get into foul trouble, a bit difficult as he gets zero respect from the refs on defense and on offense. Or maybe Joey Crawford can be brought in to ref four of the games.
