it's official. nesta is out. it's sad to see him go, but i think we've been lucky to have him the last few seasons after he missed the whole year with his back issues in 08-09.

@themilanguy seems to think he's headed to barca.

i can't read (much) italian, but from his tweets and the posts on football-italia, it sounds like the locker room is getting pretty toxic at this point. with so many players' careers up in the air, everything is going to hell. who knows what's going to happen? the rumor mill is going crazy. ibra to real? silva to barca? pato to psg? nesta to rbny? seedorf to botafogo? gattuso? ambro? it's going to be a wild summer.

f**k milan will not be the same without nesta..when maldini retired i thought to myself atleast nesta is there but now.....i guess this day was coming but this will leave a big mark in milan..i think with seedorf nesta and inzaghi leaving it sure means a real revolution in the milan squad. I hope their replacements will be worthy

Only just noticed this thread, well looks like the revolution is taking hold. Whilst sad it is what a lot of people have wanted for quite a while. The real crunch will be who we get in their place.

    Milan Diavolo twitter

RUMOR: Milan would've officially made an offer for Ganso. Robinho is reportedly included in the deal.

Saw something that said Milan is looking at Axel Witsel.

Also more stuff on Balotelli. I like him talent wise, but too much of a headcase. Would rather get someone else.

I like the Montolivo signing. I would like to see us get Dede from Vasco. Really big on him and he should be getting sold this summer.

    Gattuso
    Inzaghi
    Seedorf
    Nesta
    Zambrotta
    Muntari
    Lopez
    Aquilani

All out. And we could lose a few more. For better or for worse, this will be one of the most important transfer windows in Milan's history.

the problem is, they're all leaving on a free... meaning no cash coming in to buy players. unless we sell someone expensive, i think we'll be signing bosmans and other guys on the cheap. next year will be a long season.

We always sign Bosmans and guys on the cheap so no change there.

Tbh I think we should use more of our youth instead of some of these crappy signings. I mean who would you prefer De Sciglio or Mesbah? Plus it would help the bank balance.

Rumours that PSG want Pato and Binho, as well as Lavezzi. lol

yes, but it's a lot easier to find 2 or 3 decent bosmans and cheap transfers. replacing 10 quality (albeit waning) players on frees is not going to happen. we've been complaining about a lot of our recent signings not being milan quality, and that will continue. we simply must spend real money for quality players if we want to compete for the scudetto and in the champions league.
