Juan Marquez is challenged by Chris John undefeated Indonesian boxer.
Coming from Semarang, my hometown no less. I met him once in my local church. All around nice guy.

Anyway, I think he defeated Marquez once in 2006. But that was 6 yrs ago. Now is different story.
He is challenging in the light welterweight division. Meaning Dinamita must shed weight.

If Marquez agrees, the venue could take place in Singapore's Marina Bay sands resort!
You can google and type chris john and Marquez. It is reported everywhere

I think this deal is interesting. Marquez can settle another unfinished Asian business.
I hope he takes this challenge.

Shady ass decisions in Asia and this was definitely one of them. Chris John is ok but I don't see the point. When's the last time he did anything significant, besides challenging Marquez?

One concern about JMM... I just rewatched the fight and he looks ridiculously slow. I noticed it on fight night and people stop looking at these things after big wins but damn he was slow. He has good timing though.

Rumors circulating that it will be Mayweather-Guerrero on May 4th, with possibly Canelo-Cotto or Trout. While it seems that May uses Canelo to bump his ratings, I do like the fact that GB is willing to stack their cards, as opposed to what TR does, which is put shitters on before the main event.

LoL.....the filipino denial is damn strong man. I was talking to my neighbor and this guy is normally a cool guy and I've never seen him upset about ANYTHING. Hahaha.....I brought up the fight and he said "lucky punch". I'm like :ROFLMAO:. I said, "Well, Marquez is one of the best counter-punchers in the game and at this level you have to be more good than lucky". He just kept harping on "lucky punch". He must have said it 50 times and I'm not joking. He actually started to get mad about it then I started talking historical boxers just to get away from the subject.....I've got this same attitude multiple times at work from filipino co-workers. They simply cannot believe that Pac got KTFO. Amazing.

Chris John got a gift decision in his fight with Marquez, and he is irrelevant at this point. The guy isn't even relevant in his own weight class.

Schaffer had mentioned he was working on making a huge event for May 4th. He said it very well could break PPV records. I'm exciting to hear the final lineup.

I'm glad they are waiting with Canelo. I think Sept will be a perfect date for him. I can 100% see Canelo beating Mayweather in Sept. I really hope they pick Cotto and not Trout. I've been wanting to see the Cotto fight for the longest and he has never been in that kind of atmosphere or stage that he is gonna be in Sept, the Cotto fight will prepare him the best.

He would beat trout handily though, so it don't matter.

I also thinks he beats both, but wouldn't it be better to beat the fighter coming off a win? I know that Cotto is still a name, but coming off that sorry loss, I don't think it adds to Canelo's rep.

It goes like this in combat sports. Power<Speed<TIMING. There are other intangibles, but that order is hard to dispute.

Canelo needs a fast boxer on his win column before he even considers a May fight. May has obviously slowed down a bit, but Canelo hasn't faced anything close to him. I think Canelo should fight Lara. Heck, even a fight with Berto would help him against a possible PBF match-up.

i think canelo should fight trout, trout deserves it more than cotto. plus trout is the better fighter and would be a much better challenge than cotto.

Freddy Roach as an announcer on the Adamek v. Cunningham fight. It's the most frustrating thing ever to listen to him. I laughed at first and now I'm just pissed
