As much as some people hate Larry, I think he'll be missed at HBO. Sure, he made crazy comments and at times over the last couple of years he seemed more and more senile, but he possesses an immense knowledge of the sport. He's been around for 35 years. He's seen some of the greatest fighters come and go, witnessed some of the best fights from ringside, and all the time he always brought something to the table that Jim Lampley and/or Barry Tomkins didn't. I think he's an excellent interviewer. I didn't always like him at all (for most of the 90's) but he grew on me. I thought he'd pull something like this the other night. "Manny Pacquiao has now lost in his last two fights- one via a split decision and now by a vicious knockout at the hands of Juan Manuel Marquez and there's an old adage that says 'If you crush a flower twice, it probably will not grow again'- COULD THIS BE the end of the Manny Pacquiao's career WILL Pacquiao ever fight again?" I appreciate Larry. I'll miss him.
Merchant is old and senile. the dude should have quit long ago. though that post fight interview he did with Mayweather last year was hilarious.
Man hes synonymous with boxing commentary.......he got real biased towards the end of his career though....specially with the manny D riding. Overall though i would rather listen to him than what all the European peeps listen too.........dudes yelling unnecessarily and amir khan n shit.....hows he so chatty with that glass chin lol
FACK!!! This was Rigo's first real test. I was hoping to see him get knocked out. I am however excited to hear the Canelo vs Mayweather fight is close to being made.
http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/news/story?id=1681545&s=box&type=story ******** the haters thinking marquez juiced.
Leo Santa Cruz vs. Alberto Guevara on CBS right now. Are either of them legit? They're both undefeated and Santa Cruz holds a title.
Max Kellerman. http://www.myspace.com/video/max-sam/young-man-rumble-radio-edit/108480626 Rapper extraordinaire.
And a lot of people were looking forward for the Arce fight and accusing Donaire of ducking him. LOL. Props to Silva. He came to fight Angulo and is doing great so far.
Round of applause for Silva. Fought great and took everything (and it was a lot) from Angulo. Can't believe he didn't fall once. Great fight from him.
anyone know if there exists a Richard Steele GIF when he stops the Chavez-Meldrick Taylor fight? Where he looks straight at Meldrick's eyes and then shakes his head saying "f*ck no you aint fighting no more!" and waves his hands
I found it shameful how Jim Lampley was telegraphing that he clearly believes Marquez was doping. So let me get this straight. Pacquiao loses a contoversial decision to Bradley and all of a sudden everyone is calling for a referendum on boxing judges. Lampley even dedicates a whole show to the topic. Nevermind that the Bradley affair wasn't even the worst case of bad judging that month. Now Pacquiao gets KTFO'd and now Lampley believes Donaire is the only clean boxer in the game. What BS.
