Manny Pacquiao has picked his opponent and it's not Floyd. Facking pussay! Looks like Floyd will be calling out Martinez if he can make 150.

Martinez wouldn't be such a bad choice. The only thing that sucks is that he'd be coming down to 150. I don't think he's been that low in a long time.

He'll end up looking like Brandon Rios did in his last fight. Martinez fights in March. He should cancel that and fight Floyd

JMM easily. Alvarado has a punchers chance but I don't think he'd be able to pull it off. A chicano from Denver vs. Mexican. I'll go with the Mexican.

I wouldn't bet against JMM here either. I think he does enough to stop Alvarado.

In other news, since it looks like Floyd won't be fighting Pacquiao as of now he IS willing to fight Canelo or Cotto at 154. He also stated he'd fight Martinez ONLY if Martinez could make 150. Pulling a page out of Manny's book.

Like I said, f*ck both of them already. I hope no one buys their overdue fight when it does end up happening.

Bob Arum is full of shit. He probably got a lot of backlash after announcing just yesterday that Manny had chosen an opponent and it was not Mayweather Jr.

I don't like Alvarado vs. Marquez. That fight does nothing for JMM; it is actually a lowly stretch for him. Marquez can beat him because Marquez is smart and can make mid-fight adjustments. Alvarado just looks like a one-dimensional slugger.

Doesn't make sense to be honest.

On the May and Pac fight I just want it to be over. I won't be buying it on PPV. I'll stream it online. Not paying for that shite

The best May-Pac fight would be at their primes. But Prime vs. Prime, I don't even think it would be close.

At this point, they don't really care too much about boxing fans. They are promoting for the casual fan. The much hyped fight will sell no matter how many boxing fans boycott and turn their back on the event because it is for the casual, only watch one fight a year type. They do not care about us!

JC7, I know Alvarado and Marquez wouldn't be a real big fight, but it's a good fight to help Marquez stay busy. It also gives Alvarado a chance at making a huge statement. I don't rate him all that much, but it says a lot when Marquez is more than willing to get in there with young, hungry fighters. I'd also like to see Marquez get in there with Bradley, or any other titlist at 140. At this point, this guy has cemented his legacy and there's no one that he really HAS to fight.

I'm actually giving Alvarado a decent chance at winning this fight. Dude has mad heart and he's younger than JMM. JMM really just needs to be his calm and calculated self, but should he stray. This could turn into a war that might favor Alvarado.

I was hoping for Peterson or timmy headbutt Bradley.

Dinamita takes this. Alvarado was one of the last options I wanted to see. Oh well, I at least get to see the technician in action.

How does JMM go from Mayweather, then Pacquiao to Alvarado? No mames. Pinche sh1t promoter. Bigger names are out there from 135-140 and he can beat any of them.

not a diss on Alvarado, but more money was out there with bigger names and JMM still takes any of those foos

He's only fought once at 140 really. IF he really is taking a fight like this, it could be to get adjusted to the weight. There is no doubt that he will try to capture a title at 140. I hope he stays true to his style and goes at the main dude there, like Bradley. That would be a really tough fight for him in all honesty. Youth and size play a big role. I have a feeling he's going to fight Eric Morales at one point. That fight is long overdue.

As for upcoming fights, there are a few that should be pretty good and some are very promising!

Cory Spinks will be fighting Sechew Powell on 01/28. I hope Powells knocks Spinks TFO but I doubt it will happen. This is probably the fight that I am least looking forward to.

Edison "Pantera" Miranda is fighting the very weak Isaac Chilemba on January 3rd. Will either be a very good display in what could be one of the last fights for the hard-hitting Miranda. This is going to be on ESPN's Friday Night Fights.

Jr. will be fighting Marco Antonio Rubio on the 4th. I am definitely looking foward to this fight. A lot of people, myself included, have been complaining about Jr.'s padded record and questionable opposition. Considering that he does hold a title, his performance against Rubio will be closely watched by many. Rubio will never be world class, but he's gone on a very good streak and he has what it takes to make it a long night for Jr. He's much better than Manfredo.

Nonito Donaire is fighting Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. on the same night. Expect either fireworks or a very boring fight. I think it will be a shootout. Vanes Martirosyan is fighting this night as well. He's a very good fighter and could shape up to be a future opponent for either Canelo or Jr. He's pretty damn good.

At Cruiserweight (yes this division still does exist)... Steve Cunningham is going to fight Yoan Pablo Hernandez on Feb. 4th in Germany. This should be on much before the Chavez fight but I'm not sure what channel it will be shown on.

Of course, Berto is fighting Ortiz on the 11th. I shouldn't need to say more and if you saw their first fight you will know why.

Erislandy Lara is fighting Ronald Hearns (son of Tommy Hearns) in a comeback fight. It might be worth catching.

Vitali Klit will fight Derek Chisora on Feb. 18th. This should be a pretty decent scrap.

Chris Arreola is scheduled to fight on the 18th, but I'm not sure against who. Maybe Swag can get some info on this? Tavoris Cloud is fighting on Showtime on this date and Arce will fight Giovani Andrade too.

Feb.25- Marcos Maidana vs. Devon Alexander. This is intriguing for so many reasons. Broner will fight on this undercard. Keep an eye on Broner.

Boxing fans should be happy right now. There are plenty of good matchups in February!

Chris Arreola is fighting Eric Molina. Molina has a decent record 18-1 with 14 KO's.

I'm hearing JMM has Petersen as the lead guy he will fight possibly this April. It might actually take place here in L.A.
