I thought that Frank had kind of lost it when he said that Jahn "isn't slow at all", and then started playing him in midfield.

I hope that we keep Adam. He's a good finisher, and he passes well. But he should really be a late game sub. I don't want to see us tear this team apart when the season is over, but I suspect that we will.

    go quakes!!

His lack of playing time isn't really helping his worth. Rookies with 4 goals will always get more chances though...

Doesn't really move like a pro does he? Glad he got some minutes last night against the Crapids.....

I agree. As soon as the coaches and opponents y figured out the way Jahn plays, he fizzled. I hope he steps it up but he showed nothing after scoring those four goals initially.

I think we need to give him a few years to develop.. He was just a rookie. A 24 year old rookie, but a rookie none the less.

He is turning 23 on Sunday but two more years to develop? That will make him 25 which is not young in terms of soccer. Let's hope he takes off this year.

http://www.sjearthquakes.com/players Quakes roster says he's 24. I know 25 is old but at-least we can squeeze out a good 5-6 years out of him. Good enough for a supplemental pick.

If this information is accurate which I'm not sure if it is, Adam Jahn will turn 25 on Sunday.

    Date: 01-05-1989 Birthplace: El Macero,CA

If he still needs 2 more years to develop, he will be 27 by the time he is a full fledged forward. That doesn't look good on paper does it?

You're right, it doesnt. He does have the perfect forwards to watch and learn from tho.

If Jahn doesn't get some first team minutes, I would love to see him loaned to Sacramento. He could rip it up in USL Pro and come back better and more confident, like what happened with Morrow. He grew up here so would be a great fit.

If im not mistaken Jahn is also from that area. Would work out well for both clubs (although I dont like Sac Rep because of the whole Portland thing. Lets not get into that here).

Also another guy could be Tommy Thompson. I'd rather see him play one year in USL rather than 1 more year at Indiana. He's from Granite Bay.

I think with our system we will always have a spot for a cheap tall slow target forward who has good feet and can hold the ball up and lay it off well. He doesn't have to be a starter to be useful. As long as we don't put him on 200k starter wages like Alan Gordon or Jason Hernandez.

TT is on another planet relative to Jahn. Physically a totally different player, and on a completely different level in terms of skill, speed, and aggressiveness.

So who gets the fasted red card in Quakes history? Adam Jahn for his red against the C-Rapids 3 minutes after he enters a match!

Nothing new about Adam Jahn. We all kind of figured he would go to Sac.

Doesn't he need to be on the roster to serve his red card suspension?

Doesn't it cross leagues per FIFA/USSF rules? I know that in Europe if a player if transferred from one club to the next or even in different divisions and from one year to the next, he has to serve the one game suspension regardless of the club he plays for.

Jahn can't help it if some midget rams his head into Jahn's elbow.

Can someone explain the details of the loan? Im surprised I didnt see any post on the SJEQ website.

Whats with the timing since Lenhart and tommy are out, Gordon is banged up and fucito on loan, essentially leaving Wondo and Schuler as the only fully healthy forwards?

My guess is that he was just there for one week because he was suspended for the Chivas game, but then again we do have decent depth right now. Gordon looks banged up but he can go at least 70, after that he looks like a crippled horse and Watson doesn't sub him out for some reason. We also have Billy, and Attiba could also play that role if needed. The U.S. Open Cup is coming up soon and I think Doyle wants Jahn to get some good minutes in.
