La verdad raramente hablamos de los gringos, sólo cuando hay partidos contra ellos... aunque de repente tenemos nuestros propios trolles centroamericanos y algunos sudamericanos diciendo incoherencias...
I remember seeing a Regulas Tera post in that thread on Neogaf about Mexico vs nads in the Gold Cup. I had a feeling it was the same guy on MT.
MedioTiempo Forums? Not going there... literally or figuratively. Now, about tomorrow's game. I was noticing that the ref assigned for tomorrow's clash vs Senegal is Mark Clattenburg of Great Britain. While I hate to engage in national stereotypes (actually, who am I kidding, I love it), British refs tend allow a more physical game. I hope I'm wrong, but the boys may have to shake off challenges that might otherwise be fouls or cards tomorrow. Not to be a prophet of doom or anything, but I wouldn't anticipate getting as many calls as we would like, even against an opponent as physical as Senegal.
I know people want to say the games gonna be even and all this BS....but to me were just playing a Caribbean-esque team with a forward thats hot at the moment. This game is made for us, in the sense that we know how to play against these teams. Move the ball on them and bank on them fouling the shit out of us and giving us goal opportunities. a ref can only pretend to not see so much.
I'm more worried about corners... Senegal has capitalized on a few of theirs while we tend to give up quite a few. Not to mention the fact that although our national teams have grown over the years, these Senegalese guys are built like tanks.
ALINEACIÓN DE MÉXICO: Corona, Jiménez, Salcido, Mier, Chávez, Reyes, Enríquez, Fabián, Aquino, Peralta y Giovani
Same line up as the Suisse game save for jimenez in for Vidrio Corona, jimenez, mier, reyes, chavez, chaton, salcido, aquino, gio, marco, oribe
Which is why I am glad Mexico isn't playing GB because of the home field advantage they would get in that regard.
