The Official 2010 Crew Wagering Thread

Why the heck not. Don't expect me to do half as much challenging stuff as Grouchy did though. (i.e. points, first goal, all that) I'll keep track of games and correct wagering outcomes from those games.

No sign up required. I'll keep track of who got it right, but will not include incorrect votes.

A comment though. I will be doing this freehand from BS to an excel, so if there are mistakes, it wasn't personal. I'll correct.

Also, if someone else was planning on doing this with some new fangled interwebs process. Feel free, Mods can delete.

I'll protest on behalf of the 40+ of 45 of us that picked the Crew by 1 and didn't get credit. I think you need to get the mods to make it public and then award the point for the match. Otherwise you're penalizing the ones that did what they were supposed to do; vote in the poll.

On the other hand, who cares?

I asked in the prematch thread for that exact thing. No results.

How about I just give everyone 1 point to make it fair? lol

So, how should we call the new and improved Grouchy points? NUFCers?

First, I wouldn't call them improved. More like Grouchy Lite.

Secondly, my spreadsheet is named Crew Grouchy Points, and I'll continue to reference as Grouchy Points. He has the naming rights IMO.

Thirdly, in case of future class action, we the NUFC Fan of Columbus take no responsibility in any said "Grouchy Point" ownership or accounting herewithin.

A couple of bookkeeping things.
I now understand why Grouchy made you sign up before the season to play, each week I'm adding new folks to the log, so as of this week, I am going to stop. If you are already 10 points behind the leader, you probably can't catch him anyway.

I also get why he always threw in non game wagers. From what I've seen most people pick the same way every week, whether that be lack of creativity, karma, or just superstition. So if anyone has some post all star wagers they think would be good to throw in, I'm game for that. I may come up with some as well.
