Anyone want to go full-on nerd and mention their favorite deleted scene? Hands down, Creed's on the Booze Cruise. Which is for the time being on youtube...
Just wanted to point out that the one character whose spin-off show I'd absolutely watch is Clarke. He moves to LA, gets a job as the assistant to a manic-depressive talent agent. Jim and Darryl cameo with a client they manage that wants to get into film/music; Dwight cameos with a beat-based diet, which becomes the latest Hollywood fad; Andy cameos as his pathetic self. Toby earns a recurring role as a script doctor. Eventually Clarke gets promoted to agent after he gets high and finds the "Threat Level: Midnight" script, sells it to a studio and makes the agency millions. Really, who wouldn't watch that? Can we crowd-fund this?
I liked him a lot, he brought something to the show that was totally different. I was expecting him in the finale and was really disappointed when he wasn't.
Hadn't heard a "that's what she said" in a long time. It's like an old friend calling you by your childhood nickname.
I just finished The Office for the first time ever tonight. I never watched the show when it was on originally. Took my wife and me about 6 months to get through the whole thing (we don't have much time to sit and watch TV together.) The tears are still running down my face. What a beautiful, wonderful show. Beauty in ordinary things, indeed. And just wanted to thank all of you. As I have watched the series, I have read these threads as I went along. It was fantastic reading your reactions as they were 4-11 years ago, in real time. It made me feel like I was watching it with you all, for the first time. Dadgum, I haven't felt this sentimental in a long time. Feels good, even though it's hard. That's what she said.
I thought the bump was going to be for this guy. I'm glad you took your time and watched it with your wife.
My wife and I actually moved to Scranton the summer before season nine. Alas, we had to be out of town on May 4th, 2013, when the cast was in town to film parts the final episode. But I walk by two scenes featured in the opening credit shots on my way to work every day.
The Strangler is in prison, as Toby found out after visiting him. Anyway, Marc Maron podcast with Jenna Fischer. Maron does his self-indulgent bit, but the interview starts at 13:00 and is very, very good. Not all about the office, mostly about her new book, but still interested.
Speaking of The Office, https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/office-revival-works-at-nbc-1069099 Not sure I want to see this happen.
I got into an argument with a coworker last week about that show. She thought she discovered it and it only had 2 seasons. She had no idea it's the 5th season and that it began 14 years ago on FOX.
