I don't know if anyone else had a problem with this, but did anyone else hate the in-tight camera angle they used at this game? It was almost impossible to watch what was going on away from the ball because they followed the play with the camera like it was a hockey game. This was far more of a problem than the commentary IMO.

I'll be interested to see what sort of lineup Pumas show up with (I think they brought a mostly full lineup last week) and how well they handle Metapan.

Metapan definitely has some strengths but have a distinct disadvantage in the air. Maybe that's not as big a strength for Pumas as for an MLS team, but I'd still expect them to be able to win by a couple goals in a home game.

Clearly you are not familiar with the powers of the 4-3-3 :p

I just wonder what MLS leadership thought when they gave us extra Allocation (Rumor this season is $200-400K) for CCL and we used a JV team...Happiness could not of been the word.

MLS has to want to put a team into Club World Cup to raise its profile.

We should have taken the bitch route and gotten the schedule gods to help us out. I bet they said, "Sorry Colorado that sheet don't fly in the group stage. #MLS4RSL"

Shocking, it really takes sports and put it in its place. I hope for the best.

Very scary. I was watching that one and probably like most didn't know what happened. He was face down and the physios flipped him over and pretty soon he was surrounded.

I hope this isn't like Reggie Lewis/Hank Gathers. The BBC site said they used the defibrillator twice.

    I hope this is true.

Browsing twitter it feels like a lot of "news" is being broken about improvement in his condition, but without any confirmation. I just don't want to get my hopes up if this isn't true.

BBC is now quoting Bolton's doctor and saying that he was "in effect dead" for 78 minutes ... didn't think that was possible, very scary

Man, what I wouldn't do to get them here.

Maybe we can get a S. American team in town this year. Always wanted to see the "home" (first) club of so many star players in Europe.

I'm mixed on the May friendlies w/Euro teams. I guess it's fun to watch those guys even clown around. But I remember DCU beating Milan in a May friendly and thinking Milan's effort was ridiculous. Then again there were some flashy moves (including a failed but fairly spectacular bike by Ronaldinho).

Remember that interview with Hinchey by the NoFanAlone guys?

Here's what Hinchey had to say about a friendly. It sounds like they would be aiming at a game at DSGP if they did anything. Not sure what type of club it implies.

[*From notes, so I'm not sure what tense this verb was in. I'm also not sure that's a direct quote, I didn't go back and get the direct quote exact on everything.]

If they did one, they wouldn't do a mid-week friendly, right? I assume they'd need a weekend game to get good attendance.

That would narrow the options quite a bit; they'd have to move a league game. The schedule's fairly busy at peak friendly season:

    May:
    5/16 @DCU
    5/19 SporKS
    5/26 Montreal
    5/29 US Open Cup

    July:

    6/16 @Vancouver
    6/20 San Jose
    6/26 Open Cup QFinal
    6/30 Portland
    7/4 Vancouver
    7/7 @Seattle
    7/10 Open Cup Semi Final
    7/14 Dallas
    7/18 @TFC
    7/21 @RSL
    7/28 Seattle
    8/4 RSL

5/26 and 7/28 look like the best candidates.

There's also that gap between the 5/29 and 6/16 games. Not sure what sort of club they could bring in then.

Would D.U. still have their squad together at that time? <being realistic/off>

Given that June 01-05 and 08-12 are international match days I'm guessing most sides aren't planning to be playing in that window.
