Probably not. I reckon they'll use that shirt until Becks retires and they don't have to resemble a superclub anymore.
So Glad the Galaxy finally changed their kits and Badge. I mean they looked like my third grade team for all these years with that old badge a first grader could make. The new ones look good though and I like the color scheme as well....professional.
Are you serious? Why would they just use this kit for only one season? It might undergo minor changes but its not like you are going have to buy a new one each year. Just because it says 07/08 kit doesn't mean it can't be used in 09, 10, and 11. And who the hell are the "Las Vegas Galexy?"
They will not use this kit in 2009. ADIDAS will have a new template for them to use by then. Two years seems to be the norm for jerseys.
It is...In Europe clubs change the kits every second year so manufacturers have the same schedule for design.
Teams in Europe change their kits every two years normally. Sometimes it'll be 1 or 3, but that's rare. Most big teams and even some lower league teams have 3 kits, so there's at least one new kit each season. The only reason an MLS team will bring a new jersey out would be a change of sponsor or that it's time for the 2 year rotational change. Oh, that or you've signed David Beckham.
Here's the reason I'll never buy the Herbalife kit. I can't believe they are the kit sponsor for a MLS team. http://www.tcpasettlement.com/
They change the degree of thickness of the royal blue and red (so you couldn't possibly have the same Barca shirt that they've had for 70 years twice ), and go through the goaltenders shirt selection (yellow, turquoise, orange, etc) for the away every year.
The link is dead. But I do find it ironic that Herbal Life's original owner died from the antithesis of his company's mantra (mixing booze with prescription drugs). Also, don't most of their products deal with weight loss? Perfect target demographic for all those young women in Los Angeles who want to become stars and join the galaxy of Posh and Becks, no? They did their research lol.
