I am told that Big Soccer will start to support mobile devices in about 2 weeks.

I logged in a couple times recently and just assumed that this was just some temporary interface during the upgrade. I guess it has a bunch of new things that are probably more interesting to people who are more into facebook and foursquare and whatever than I am. Meh. Your modern world confuses me. But if we get a better mobile interface then that would be a very good thing.

I am told a better mobile interface is coming, but is not high on the list of current issues.

Things I like about the new bigsoccer:
    • Being able to tag people
    • Better able to follow threads and forums
    • Once you adjust your alerts, the alert feature is great, anytime something I say is quoted, I get an alert at the top of the page that way I do not miss it and am able to respond
    • I can now rep any post I want without having to "spread rep" around
    • I like that you can see how many times a thread as been repped (however, see the next list)
    • I like the new "my bigsoccer", it has the same features as the last one, plus a few more
Things I do not like (some of which are being fixed):
    • I do not like that you can see who reps a post (I think it might discourage people from giving rep, especially in controversial threads). There is a debate about this, so it could go either way.
    • I do not like that I can't leave a comment with my rep anymore. (this will likely return, but not for sure)
    • I do not like the new search tool; hopefully it gets fixed
That is about it, I mostly like it and it is really running smoother on my netbook now.

    Good list.

I would add I enjoy the top level navigation when I am moving within the same parent thread. HOWEVER, I do not like the quick navigation menu to jump between threads - not as easy as the tree structure that was down the left of the page.

In Summary, it is working MUCH faster and stable for me here though.

I really miss the colapsable left side listing of all the forums. It made it easy to switch back and forth between the ones I read.

Another thing I do not like, that I am told will eventually be included is the ability to "Multi-Quote".

Yes, you sort of can multi-quote, but

    1) You lose your place when reading and
    2) I do not think you can do it on multiple pages.

Whats wrong with multiquoting? Better than double and triple posting, no?

Now you follow forums. It works in a similar way, but can see how one might not like it if they are used to the old way.

I've seen a few posters claim that the new BigSoccer looks like the BookFace. I think I saw a video about that on the YouTube once. What does that have to do with the Tweeter machine? Now keep it down, it's past my bedtime.

You mean as in not losing your place while multi-quoting, right? I dislike this new way of multi-quoting, but at least we have something for now.
