Are you sure you are talking about United and not Chelsea?

The United defense sat too deep quite a few times last season.

Heard it through the grapevine that Inter Milan have signed a pre-contract with him on a 2 season deal.

Can see him doing quite well in Italy as everyone's stated earlier, good luck to him. If he's at Inter he should walk into the team, Walter Samuel (now 35!) has still played 16 out of 23 league matches and Rolando's only proper contribution to Football was one of the best lines of commentary of the last decade ("It must be the first time Ronaldo has been marked by an anagram.")

Random fact for you, Vidic would be their 4th centre-back over the age 32 (Vidic 32, Chivu 33, Campagnaro 33, Samuel 35) and all of them have yet to have had their birthdays this year.

Yeah I saw that, apparently the medical has already been done.

How or why would a medical be done now?

Dunno, but the RAI channel reported that it was secretly done already and a 2 year deal was signed.

Would you keep playing our so-called best team to finish as high as possible or do you bench the likes of Vidic to give minutes to Jones/Smalling with a view to next season?

at this point, it's one and the same. so-called is the right term because vida and rio are united's 4th and 5th best CB.

Until we meet again, Nemanja. Enjoyed your invincibility during our UCL trophy season, especially. Good Luck.

You let yourself go. Our last memory is of you lying on the pitch, a bloody, whiney mess, as we conceded. Fitting.

Have to agree with Teso, it wasn't even a foul today. Yes he was great for us but I'm not with the whole send off he got at OT last week as I don't think he really deserves it since it was his decision to leave. Of off with ya Vida, don't let the door hit you on your way out. I have no room for sentiment after this shyte season.

No shame in moving on when the time is right. One of the greatest CB's to ever grace the shirt. Good on ya, Vida.

Red Card Vida. Not bad for Rio's partner.
