In all the races down the home stretch, nothing is closer than the race against relegation in Division Two. The bottom 11 teams are separated by just nine points in a division where four teams take the drop. It'll be interesting to see how this one turns out, and out of all of the races, this one looks like it has the best chances of going down to the final day.

We are good enough to stay up with good performances against teams like Luton, QPR and Oldham, but then we lose badly against Cheltenham. We never seem to do well against the long ball football! On the other hand, look at the Division 1 play-off race. Currently only 4 points between 7th and 17th. Over two thirds of the division has a realistic shot at a challenging for a play-off spot and promotion.
Good point. Looks like there's a knock-down, drag out battle brewing for the best of mid-table mediocrity.
The race in Division three for the last automatic spot and play-off places is extremely tight.... There are only three points between Scunthorpe (3rd with 57 pts) and Torquay (11th with 54 pts). Also the bottom is very tight and difficult to call, the bottom two teams , Exeter amd Swansea are on 34 pts, but they are only seven points behind the 17th team (Darlo). There are going to be a lot of teams worried about their leage status during the next 10 or so games. -Richard
I think the most intriguing battle is whether the four points deducted by the Football League from Boston United will keep the Pilgrims from staying up. The change in relegation to the Conference from 1 to 2 teams makes Boston's plight even more perilous.
That 'race' is horrendous. There are now 9 teams separated by only six points as the bottom teams have all started picking up points. Almost certainly this one's going to go right down to the wire: very reminiscent of when Barnet snatched relegation from the jaws of safety a couple of seasons ago. Darlington for a shock relegation?
I was quite glad about Barnet's performance that season, unfortunately we couldn't capitalise on it the following year. Exeter look like they could take one place at the moment. Hope Boston take the other.
Not likely. There are a few Welsh teams in the English non-league (Merthyr Tydfyl, Newport AFC and Bognor Regis).
Bognor is in England, the third non-league Welsh team is Colwyn Bay. Apparently two of the three League teams could go down to the LOW. As for Merthyr, their chairman was on record as saying he'd wind the club up rather than join the LOW.
The most intriguing battle in the football league is who goes up to the PREM in DIV 1! Fair enough Leicester who did Forest, and Portsmouth are there already but will it be my team Forest who join them? I hope so but you've got to be in the play-offs in the end - then win 2 playoff games - then go to Cardiff and win also. It's a bit of a lottery really and who's best on the day. COME ON FOREST!!!!!!!!!
Big clash for Forest tomorrow, Sheffield United... we could (and I think we will) have a playoff final preview tomorrow.
Personally there's no race in the Division Three promotion. Rushden going up, Northampton going down.
Rushden AND Hartlepool going up... Good luck for the championship decider this weekend...we handed it to you and now you've given us a chance...I think on current form you have to be the favourites...but, as this is the closest Pools have come to any type of title in their 95 year history I am really hoping and dreaming.... -Richard
