They massively overspent on mediocre players , though

Exactly. But we'll know Barcelona could do the same with this lot in charge. Elections please!

If ban is lifted I want a pounser CF/striker (Aguero, Suarez type) another striker preferably 185+ cm (Van Persie, Gomez, Dzeko, Cavani, Klose, Cardozo). 2 established CBs (hummels, Luiz, Mangela, Inigo) a AM (Di Maria, Hazard, Özil, Reus type) to bring creativity to the stale aging slow midfield specially for when coach thinks Iniesta is tired  and of course 2 goalies..

Sell Tello, Song, Alexis and or Pedro (latter depends who's bought in attack).

All in all I want strengthening the aerial corridor as well as speed and creativity coming from midfield.

Scrape the rebuilding of stadium use the money to rebuild the team instead of a stadium... Look at Arsenal.. New stadium for what? No titles for 9 years? ******** that! Camp Nou is fine and majestic as it is.

I rather take Skrtell and Agger first.

Liverpools defence is not particularly great to be completely honest

Messi damn well better light the World Cup up if he truly is "saving himself".

Well even Bartra overshadowed Messi in the attacking department - in tonight's game ....one great long shot just tipped over and a goal ..

I would bench him - regardless of his past exploits he is not warranting a starting spot...then again not many are

if he wants to rest for WC he can do so from the bench

Agreed. He seems selfish at this point.

No way he'll win the next Ballon either if he doesn't deliver Argentina a WC trophy this summer ala Maradona style.

Umm, Messi has clearly been best player of 2014, if Cronaldo can win it with winning absolutely nothing, Messi is currently lock on 2014 Ballon d'Or.

Who has been better? Messi has 28 goals and 10 assists, more than anyone.

Please don't pull opinion from your ass.

if you think Messi on current form warrants the award your dreaming

stats dont always tell the story

you want a stat Pinto covered more ground

    that is embarrasing

Suarez for one has had a better season

    deal with it

How convinient that you're trying to defame Messi's 2014. You're bias against Messi has been display on multiple occasions already.

Suarez maybe has had better season, but it doesn't matter on Ballon d'Or, Messi has had better 2014.

So again who has had better 2014? And try not to tear your ass from opinions.

I don't believe any serious and intelligent voter would put Messi in the top 3 if voting was to happen now. His lack of professionalism (not giving his all for club) and/or recent massive drop in form in critical matches essentially dropping his club out of contention for all three club trophies would be huge on people's minds. Also, scoring a ton of PKs does flatter those numbers but fools no one ...except you as usual.

Ronaldo has the better overall numbers by far, especially in the CL. It will come down to the CL and WC results, and someone else can win it too.

Keep in mind CR has missed a lot of games recently.

your fanatical obsession with Messi is boring and quite frankly strange

its not healthy to be so obsessed with one player, so what if he is not the best player at this moment in time it does not make him a bad player it does not make him the worst player in the world

only a blinded fan cannot see the Messi right now is not his usual vintage undisputable best player in the world, I simply at present do not see the magic he used to bring

once more Suarez has had a better 2014 and season and also btw a better qualifying campaign
Iniesta has also had a better 2014

has Messi scored more goals than them, yeah maybe who knows

but stats dont always tell the whole story

You're pathetic, your Messi hate is obvious from every post you make. Why else would you be in this thread at this time, again.

Suarez haven't been close of Messi, he doesn't even play, other than league games. Obviously low level thinkers like yourself, think that playing on average 1 game per week good is comparable to playing 2 games per week good.

So that's it, you attacked opinion of Messi being best 2014, and all you have to say, is Suarez. :giggle:

You're not serious poster, you don't know how serious voters post. Messi pwns divenaldo in 2014.

Missed many games? Lol that's why he won it last year, because Messi was injured constantly. And only then he won it by 3% after getting help by Fifa with the rule changes. Currently divenaldo has no chance on ballon d'or 2014.

Can we all please keep off the personal name-calling, take it to PMS if you want. No need for that type of debate.

Suarez plays in a team that only has to focus in the EPL because last season they were not good enough to qualify for CL (or Europa) because they finished 7th, yet on the back of his assists, goals and general play they are leading the EPL this season

yet to you Suarez 2014 is not even close to Messi 2014....ok sure:rolleyes:
