PKNS FC signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Total Sports Sdn Bhd (TSSB) today which could lead them to having a tie-up with European giants Real Madrid.

PKNS FC president, Noor Hisham Mohd Ghouth said: “TSSB has made plans for a Real Madrid coaching clinic to take place.

“ The technical staff from the Spanish club will be here to share their knowledge with the coaching staff and players of PKNS FC. ”

TSSB will also be involved in arranging international friendlies, corporate social programs and will be playing a big part in establishing the PKNS FC Web TV.

Noor Hisham who spoke to the media after signing the memorandum said the rebranding of PKNS FC is very crucial to help the club’s motive of being able to produce good quality players in the future.

“ We all know the late Mokhtar Dahari started his career at this club and the approach that we have taken will help our young players to gain inspiration from the legendary player, ” said Noor Hisham.

He added that TSSB has also proposed a number of friendly matches with the teams from the top leagues in Europe towards the end of the season.

I'd never realized before how much the Johor tiger on the right looks like the Tiger Beer tiger. Is it owned by the Tiger Beer beverage company?

One thing I'm trying to figure out and would like to get your opinion on. What is up with Malaysian football attendances? Most games seem to draw a few thousand or less. Then you get random games like this that draw 90,000. I get that this is the FA cup final, but the jump is notable. And then there was a game in March, Selangor hosting Johor that attracted 60,000 fans, which is maybe 20x the usual Selangor attendance. Why?? Is it only because Johor was playing?

    I've never understood it either.

With regards to the league in general, I like it that they went against the trend and reduced the number of sides in each division, I think this will improve football in the country.

Unfortuantly though, some clubs, like Kuala Lumpur FA are just dire at the moment

    hai..i'll answer ur question.
actually the percentage of attendence in M-league increases year by year. since the day malaysia win the 2010 aff suzuki cup, more fans following the league like never before.. this also cause by the new powerhouse like johor dt which been newly branded (like what arabs doing to man city, psg, malaga).
in super league match, johor dt's home game will attract 30k fans, pahang fa approximately between 15k-20k, kelantan also between 15-20k, terengganu fa between 10k.. but yeah malaysian league is basically majority consist of fa team, and club team like felda united, pkns fc, t-team fc only have small scale of fans.
fa cup is such prestigous cup like malaysia cup, the hype and the expectations of fans are higher 3 times i would say. thus, in the early QF, the stadium will be in full house, and problem in my country, the so called 'ulat tiket' will sold fake tickets like happen in semi final between pahang and johor dt that lot of fans occupy the running track.. 40k seats but the fans is 60k! u can imagine how the situation in the stadium .
thus in final, you can see very clearly if fa cup or malaysia cup, the attendance will jump to be 80-90k not only coz johor or else, but the level of passions of the fans towards their team in fa cup or the malaysia cup.
i'm malaysian but doesn't fluently in english. i hope you'll understand what i said. peace ~
