4ters are set: Santos v America Nacional v Cucuta Gremio v Defensor Libertad v Boca Starting this year, there is no possibility that 2 teams from the same country can reach the final. 1) If Santos and Gremio qualify, the brackets are broken and they would have to face each other. Then, if Boca goes thru to semis they would face the winner of Nacional vs Cucuta. 2) If both Nacional and Defensor qualify, they would have to face each other in semis. Then, if Boca goes thru to semis they would face the winner of Santos vs America. 3) All 4 teams in semis are from different countries ... then Boca plays the winner of Gremio v Defensor in semis. The ideal situation is #1. Avoid the Brazilians until the final and also get rid of the trip to Mexico by default. Thoughts? PS: Anyone know what are the rules for the knock-out stages regarding accumulation of yellows? Banega has 2 yellows from the 2 games with Velez. .
I guess I like # 1. For historical reasons, I think it would be cool to face Nacional in the semis and Santos in the final. But really we shouldn't be looking past Libertad, they are a tough team, and they are not going to roll over for Boca.
ya first comes libertad after that, i don't really have a preference since in order to win, you have to be able to beat whoever comes your way anyways
Well, after tonite's result in Montevideo, IF BOCA QUALIFIES TO SEMIS, there is no way that we will face Santos or America until the Final. It would be either Gremio, Defensor or Cucuta in semis. .
It's set. Cucuta in the semis, Santos or Gremio in the final. But first things first. We need to get past Libertad in Asuncion. No easy task, but I believe Boca will do it.
who cares? we all know Boca can beat those crap teams from bracil anyway i have a weird feeling that Boca is not passing i hope im wrong.
Come on, if you are a Boca fan, you need more faith than that. We need to start working on the positive karma right about now. BOCA WILL ADVANCE!!!! BELIEVE!!!!
today is May 24th A day that will live forever in the hearts of Boca fans. It's the day that we beat River 3-0 with that goal by Palermo (playing on one leg) in the Copa Libertadores. It's a sign of good luck
