I write off Kazu's ineffectiveness since he's too old to play top level football. Shame on Yokohama FC strikers if they can't overtake a 44 years old striker.
And when did I say it doesn't matter ? Never. But allow me to say that J1 goals mean a lot more than their J2 counterparts, that's all.

About your stat, true, but Kashima have defenders who can score on set pieces, they have been underperforming as a team so far and some of their midfielders like Nozawa can provide 10+ goals on a regular basis.
If the team really improves as a whole, the strikers will start scoring again.

Did Kazu and Mike Haavenar sign for Kashima?

If Koroki solves his anxiety issues in front of the goal this year, he'll be the topscorer of the J1.
I've been watching a lot of Antlers games of the past two years these and he would really be a beast if it was not for this atrocious finishing.

Well I hope so. Also loving the prospect of Shibasaki. Other than that, we really need to scout some or bring in some good young lads

Little question about Daigo Nishi. He's really good and he can play as LB, RB, LM and RM.
Why isn't he in the JNT? Am i overrating him?

    Counter-question

Why isnt Shibasaki in U23 team?

    See what I did there?

btw really glad that they managed to win today and penetrate that bunker of Omiya. They (Omiya) will probably be playing like that till the end of a season

    "X scores a goal"

    one hour later

"Why isn't X in the national team ?"

Because some better players are in it.

It's not only about goals. He has run and good dribbling skills, he can play on both sides of the pitch.. it's more than a goal.

I like Nishi, his goals are spectacular but rare.

no no it's always the same. X does something good and immediately someone asks why he isn't in the national team even though the answer is simple, it's because the spots are limited. And that's something you wouldn't do for your own national team but you think any guy can walk around and come in in the JNT as if there was no depth.

Nagatomo, Uchida, Sakai, Komano and Makino are ahead, that's one decent reason.

I think Nishi could be the fourth of Left and Right Backs.
Nagatomo, Uchida and Sakai are ok. But Komano isn't getting any younger or better than before. And Makino is more a Centre Back.

I think Komano's season has been better than Nishi's for now.

About Shibasaki, I still wonder why he wasn't called. Maybe it's because he had a fight with Kanazaki on a training camp?

because there are other players at his position, I think that's the real answer. He's also younger than the rest of the team.
