Am I the only Jubilo fan on here? Remember the good old days of Dunga, Takahara, Nanami (my personal favorite), Gon! Sigh, such days are gone now...
I do remember them... The Jubilo vs Antlers years are somehow very nostalgic, as most of the past J.League. Anyway, don't worry, we have a very active S-Pulse supporter here, and I am sure he will be happy to write in this thread!! I am planning to go to the Shizuoka derby in August, will you be there...?
As much as I rag on Jubilo, I'd be lost without them. Looking forward to the Nabisco Cup Derby next week. Of course, if we lose in Saitama on Sunday then it'll be a meaningless game as we'll be as good as out the cup. But there's always local pride to play for!
Hissssssssssssssssssssss, S-pulse fan, where is my gun when I really need it. Yeah, Nabisco Cup Derby should be good, I have more faith in this producing a good match from these squads because of the rivalry than the Japan vs Korea match the other night. I of course am hoping Jubilo wins big! Remember when Gon scored a hat trick 4 games in a row. I still remember watching Jubilo just destroy Avispa 7-1 during one of those games (I live in Fukuoka at the time).
Meiji University's #10, Yamada to Jubilo from next season - a done deal. Allegedly a very skilled 22yo.
Yeah after that disaster against Shimizu, Iwata bounced back with a 5-0 win to seal a place in the knockout tournament of the Nabisco Cup.
So does your face. So is he going to get dropped, or will the Japanese mentality of, "GANBATTE NE," kick in and he'll be given a renewed contract offering a higher salary and better bonuses? I only ask this because it more or less sums up the relationship between Urawa and Takahara/Tsuboi/Yamagishi/etc.
I don't think Komano is a horrible player, I do think he shouldn't have been the one to take the penalty. But as a player I can understand someone coming to him and asking him if he wants to take one, and him saying yes. He took a chance and I can appreciate that. I don't appreciate him hammering that chance off the crossbar.
bump newspaper from Stuttgart reporting they are focussing on Park Joo-Ho, manager was at Yamaha today against Nagoya, will also watch upcoming match with Kashiwa
Jubilo beat Independiente in PK thanks to Kawaguchi's amazing saves! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/soccer/wires/08/03/2080.ap.soc.jubilo.independiente.0098/
The former college kids Kanazono, Yamada, and Kobayashi look really good so far. I'm sure atleast one of them will make the NT in the future.

Wow, we really exploded! 6 goals against Kashiwa, I hope this is a sign of things to come. Rodrigo Souto was a great instant pickup as well.
Which goes to show that some club have competent scouts (also check out Yamada and Kanazono, for example...). All it takes is some professionals in the club. Jubilo have run a club with no money at all for how many years now? Three? Four?
Take that Hyodo! I hope his next visit back to the Shizuoka he deserted is equally fun. Cheers jubilo. Sometimes you're alright.
Yeah, I thought we wouldn't have a shot at even being in the top half the way things were going, I guess things are picking up. Once the college graduate trio gets fully up to speed I think we have lots of good things to come. Also a Shimizu fan saying good things about Jubilo? I think the world is coming to an end.
What can you tell me about Kanazono? I'd like him for my Sampdoria.. he seems a good prospect to work on.
