    Joeys v Uzbekistan

1-1 at half time - freaky goal for Joeys - direct in from corner.

Disappointing that most of our national teams can't keep a clean sheet, and hence, seem to be losing every match.

The Joeys back in action tomorrow, taking on Japan in Laos for the opener of the AFF U16 Prep tournament for the AFC Championship.

Laos and Thailand also taking part.

Australia last took part in this tournament back in 2008 where they defeated Bahrain in the final on penalties.

Australia shouldn't forget though at this age level, they're some good teams in the ASEAN region.

Joeys won the next 3 games and will progress to the semi-finals against Thailand on the 21st July. I watched last night's game against Malaysia on YouTube; 'twas aight.

We certainly did get off to a very rocky start! I'm very pleased with the end result, of course.

Our next tourney is the AFC U-16 Championship in September. We've got Japan, Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan in our group.

A disappointing campaign in the AFC Championships. Two losses to teams that japan beat 7-0 and 8-0. Doesn't look good for the game against Japan.

Welp. This team won't be going to the 2017 U-17 World Cup. Knew something was off when they played back in July.
