Hey Guys, I'm Nick from New York and along with being an avid soccer fan I've gotten the privledge to work on a feature documentary entitled "One Goal: Road To South Africa". Now I don't want to sound like I am only hear to plug the film but I felt this was the perfect forum for people to see the tremendous work that has been done. I am looking forward to being part of this community and can not wait to start discussions regarding South Africa in the coming months. Anyway, I will leave with the description of the film, the youtube link to the trailer as well as our facebook fan page. Hope you all enjoy. Trailer [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS5XG7oyvpc"]YouTube- One Goal: Road to South Africa[/ame] Facebook Page http://facebook.com/OneGoalUSA "One Goal captured the essence of the U.S. Supporter culture in the documentary “Road to South Africa". The film begins with the United States historic 2-0 win over the #1 ranked team in the world, Spain, in the semifinals of the 2009 Confederations Cup. This victory signaled that U.S. Soccer had finally arrived, and would have a legitimate chance to win the 2010 World Cup. The documentary then follows America's most die-hard supporters to each match of World Cup Qualification. Through their unconditional fervor and patriotic chants they show what it means to be a national team supporter, and tell of how our nation need to unite for the United States of America to have a chance in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Hello everyone! My name is John and I am from New York. I am new to soccer because I have been closed minded my entire life. I am finding myself getting really into this sport and have watched alot of games over the last month or so. I know nothing about soccer but I am learning. The one problem I am having is finding a team to root for. I have been watching alot of the English Premier League and really enjoying it. I have also liked the UEFA Cup games that I have seen. The whole idea of that is awesome. I guess I am looking for help on a team to like. I am not that interested in hopping on the bandwagon just to keep in mind. Any help here would be appreciated.

Since you are new to soccer and the Union is new to MLS, that would be my choice for you, but Red Bulls are going to pretty good in their new stadium, I bet. Of course, RSL is going to win both the supporter's shield and cup this season, though!

There can't be enough Wizards fans out there. So add one more to Big Soccer (a forum I've been totally remiss to joining for some time). Glad to be aboard.

Hi everyone. I am from New Jersey. I go to the University of South Florida in Tampa. I follow the New York Red Bulls(you know the team that was once called the MetroStars.) I am part of the Empire Supporters Club. Well unofficially now, but I will be joining again when I return in the summer. I also follow the US National Team.
Howdy all. I'm 22, originally from Dallas, and I'm new to the sport (and I'm enjoying it already). It's nice to "meet" everyone!
I am currently writing my dissertation and am in the process of distributing a questionnaire. The subject of my study is the alienation and exploitation of traditional supporters since the creation of the premier league in 92'. It touches on four main areas: ticket & merchandising prices, the commercialisation of the game, clubs as PLCs & private ownership and the introduction of all seater stadia. Hopefully, there will be enough of you interested in airing some of your views that I will be able to use in my analysis of the results! http://www.eplonline.co.uk/questionnaireinternet.doc This is the link to the questionnaire. Fill it in and then email it to jackmccombe@gmail.com Thanks Jack
