I'm rooting for all of the Asian teams. Japan & Korea have a good chance to progress through. Hopefully Iran can do it too.

Rumors about the World Cup 2022 to take place in the winter.

Are the FIFA people stupid or something?

Yes, this shouldn't be a surprise. They're also money grubbing, whores.

It's funny, the older I get, the less I care about international competition. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'll still be a sucker for every England disaster until I die but it'll never be the same as a Liverpool or Dallas game.

"Mandatory" winter break I assume with the seasons spilling off into June in some instances.

Yeah. Not a big fan of internationals either.

This world cup all I want to see is the garmans lose... And the dutch. (I would mention the French as well, but that is always implied in any and all competitions).

Qatar have all that oil $$$ - why can't they just build air-conditioned enclosed stadiums? Geez, if they have enough money to bribe FIFA, the rest is peanuts.

They've had a laugh about it already. Both will give their all for their country.

Liverpool are far from the only club with players about to go against each other in the summer. Honestly I think it's a bigger deal for the fans than it is for the players. For all the passion and love this is their job and they are both professionals.

Remember 2006 when everyone in England was screaming for Ronaldo's head and there was all this talk about how Rooney could never be on the same team as Ronaldo and all of that. And it turned into nothing once the new club season got going.

5 called up. Woy likes our attacking style and as much as I want England to gel, I pray to the Gods they don't get any stupid knocks in this meaningless game.

Woy's seen our attacking style...but he'll soon stifle that.

US plays Ukraine and Kono - if he's as good as advertised, he'll probably cut us to ribbons. :)

Who do the US have as starting fullbacks? Because it isn't just Konoplyanka, Ukraine has Yarmolenko on the other wing. If the LB and RB aren't up to snuff, those two are gonna have a ton of fun down their respective flanks.

Beasley has been our LB the last year, with Evans at RB. Neither are what anyone would refer to as 'world class'. :(

Is this friendly still going on with all the political unrest in Ukraine?

Invasion? What invasion? The Russians certainly wouldn't risk the "opprobrium of the international community" by doing that...

I've read too many government documents to believe anything the media says about Ukraine at the moment. Smells like a CIA coup to me...*

Start with Guatemala and work from there.

I'll watch the Engerland Denmark match today, well the first half mainly. The game loses rhythm when all 54 of the subs start swapping on.
I may 2x the US match later just for.....er....Well anyway.
One thing, you can't here the 4 or 5 comms with their one eyed astute remarks. Definitely a PK for the US there. Never an offside for me. Although when McBride starts you know you're good for a nap.
