Could be a way to keep him out of English squad, but something tells me we need 3 mid in the summer, 2 conventional and one AM/wingerforward to have a decent set and that is a joke.

Would have been nice for our physio staff to not have used "the ankle" as his excuse to get out of the England match, considering his recent troubles.

I made fun of someone (sab or Syed) early this season for calling him "made of glass" - but it's getting a bit worrying.

He isn't looking right at all. This is the repercussions from rushing him back in the first place. Some players, most players wouldn't be right for a long while. If we were smart, we would of just held him out of the rest of the season.

Amazing how the same people keep having the same problems -- even to Rooney and his throat infection (or whatever it is). I'd really like to know if it's that the injuries keep recurring, or is it that the press office just has a few standard go-to problems to tell the media.

Plus there's Michael Owen who's always injured in some way or another. Do we just use him for public relations?

Anderson -- no one even bothers to make up a complaint.:)

Twitter post this morning saying Anderson may be out for the season with a severe hammy injury.

Think it's time we cut our losses with him. He's had a horrendous run of luck here, but when he's played he's shown little forward progress and he hardly plays in his best position. A club that let's him do that will reap the reward.

@DuckerTheTimes - Welbeck has suffered bruising to bone in right foot rather than fracture as first feared and should be fine for Euros.

could miss both games but not 100%

Smalling has a groin injury worse than feared and will miss the Euros this summer as well as our game on Sunday. Evans and Welbeck are still ruled out through injury for Sunday. Rio should be fit enough to play and partner Jones.
