So we know how the HDC is the crown jewel of MLS stadiums. it was when it opened and it still is now. However, as more and more SSS's open, combined with the partnership with the Bundesliga for stadium help and the new revenue from Beckham's arrival, is it time to start upgrading the HDC some? It is now over 4 years old and it is usually at this time that most stadiums and arenas begin recieving minor upgrades. What would you like to see done to the HDC to make it a better stadium and help make for better atmospheres? Personally, the biggest issue I (and many it seems) have with the HDC is how far from the field the seats are, however this can be easily rectified. The first rown of seats are high off the field and far from the field and in soccer (unlike football) you don't need to be higher up to see over the bench players, at least behind the goals. Check out most European stadiums and even Toyota Park and the seats behind the goal are essentially at field level so I'd like to see them build down to the field at least behind the goals and put more seats closer to the field. I've also noticed lately that some of the paint is starting to wear so when they decide to repaint, how about paint it navy to match our new colors and put in navy seats when new seats are put in as well. Also, while this isn't necessarily a stadium improvement as much as a FO improvement. LET THE SUPPORTERS BRING FLAGS BACK IN AGAIN.
I hate the fact that they narrowed the pitch. There's a huge gap from 138. As Im watching the chicago game right now I wish our seats were closer to the field.
I don't mind the narrowed pitch, but we can easily build seats down to the field because they are up so high and there can be new seats close to the pitch. It would only increase capacity by a couple hundred.
better food options and/or a more expanded menu and hey i just noticed this site matches the new galaxy colors
