i know who you are talking about, but he was a really nice guy... just needed to be introduced to a toothbrush and a shower
We cheered the guy at the bottom of 26 several times throughout the game. He seemed pretty cool. Although he wouldn't give us our half used streamers back.
It's a new security company... hence new people. And yes, some of them look straight out of Pioneer Park downtown.
What if the all the supporters groups have kazoos for all their people in attendance and only use them every time an opposing player takes a PK, corner, etc?
I didn't read the whole thread but I thought the bagpipes were sick. Hopefully he will be there this weekend.
Couldn't find any kazoos at the dollar store. Maybe next time. But speaking of security, did anyone else notice the fan running on the field after the last goal? He is one of my friends sitting with us and he didn't get kicked out! But he didn't go that far out.
Did anyone in the north section notice the guys with the big wooden ratchets-noise makers? I thought those were outlawed. One of them was 2-3 feet long. I thought he was going to hit someone by him for sure. Nice noise maker, but very dangerous in a crowd.
Ya, that thing was huge!!( that's what she said) Could you imagine a whole bunch of people with those things on a corner kick or something.
I thought it looked awesome. The FO is ok with noisemakers, except for the air horns. I don't know why but those are banned.
I was at that game, and yes they did have bagpipes. It didn't sound nearly as good as the opening match at RTS. Being at both and re-watching on DVR, I am able to pass unbiased judgement.
I could've sworn that I heard 2-3 air horns on Saturday. Kudos to Mr. Bagpipe! I didn't hear it until the second half, but it sounded like different songs than the one I heard on ESPN2 opening night.
There were a few air horns but they did a good job at not being obnoxious enough to warrant a search. The bagpiper didn't come in until after we tied the game.
They are bad for the environment, and, if thrown, can be very dangerous since they are metal canisters. And forget about the dollar-store kazoos. Use these. If you remember NFL Europe, these were used to disrupt QB signals.
From what I understand, the banned air horns are not the compressed air metal canister variety. They are the 2-3 foot long plastic horns that people blow during all the USMNT games, Mexican league games, etc.
That's what Spencer Checketts and Trey were saying during the post game show. A bunch of people complained about them being obnoxious at RES, so they nixed them. I think the fans just need to keep bugging the FO about them until they cave. I always enjoyed the Monarchy and their horns. Made for some funny chants.
Hope you dont mind me butting in but I think you ought to keep it. It could become a unique RSL tradition like the Pompey bells or the *&@^!ing Cruz Azul trainhorn. One that when opposing teams hear, kinda throws them off their game. I dunno. It just seems like a unique/cool thing to do.
