MLSE took a huge positive step a couple years ago getting a real grass pitch, but i've read before that capacity may be increased in the coming years by +5,000-7,500. i think the major problem with that is, BMO already looks pretty seedy and almost mobile in appearance compared to some of the great stadiums (portland, philadelphia). i just think if they don't account for some kind of partial roofing or permanent enclosures along the two sidelines, the additional seating could look pretty suspect. plus isn't it a more positive situation to have games sold out most of the time, rather than see empty seats. and do we want 15,000 empty seats for national games and god willing champions league?
