We reached the semifinals last year as well :p

I think this time we have a better chance against Cerezo than we did against Antlers, though...

I think they'll be fine. I have followed FC Tokyo since 2002, when I found out that TV Tokyo, one of my favorite channels in Japan, helped FC Tokyo get to J1. So it's nice to see them back, but I want them to beat Cerezo then dismiss neighboring Yokohama F.Marinos in the final.

The trophy ceremony for the J2 champs...in which they earn a simple plate.

Question. Who will be the coach of FC Tokyo this season. Is it known?

For instance Ficcadenti from Itally is the name that pops around. Kiyoshi Okuma is still the man in charge for the next season right?

Ranko Popovic. Okuma will stay in the club taking less stressful post in club management if I remember it well.

Shiota, Gonda, Hironaga, Tanabe, Shimoda, and Lucas all to return in 2012.

I can't tell if Tokyo is brilliant for holding on to the best backup goalkeeper in Japan, or if the rest of J-League is foolish for not offering more money for him.

Nakabayashi brought Sanfrecce to the ACL in 2009, and after rotting on the bench for two years, ha has finally moved to Fagiano.

Seems like nobody cares about second goalies.

    What's the situation with Yonemoto?

That dude has been really unlucky with injuries and he would have surely been in the running for London 2012.

    Has he started training yet?

It's a pity that Okuma and Konno are leaving FC Tokyo after gaining promotion.

Arent those white masks used to filter particles and usually used during the pandemic attacks and such. Or is this some special mask which is used in Japan only?

    Seriously asking?

Wow. This FC Tokyo side is solid. So solid, they can even win shorthanded late. 2-0 over Vissel.

2-0 win over Brisbane and 2-2 draw with Ulsan Hyundai in ACL play, 1-0 win over Omiya and 3-2 barnburner over Nagoya Grampus...this team is ready.

The smart money would probably have been on Sanfrecce from the start, even though the game was in Tokyo. From what I can tell, Tokyo haven't beaten Sanfrecce for five years, and this is the seventh game since then.
